Arrived on time, very professional during pre-meetings and at event. All music went off without a hitch including multiple location changes. Great editing of all important dance songs. Would highly recommend DJ Harvey!
Maryland's DJ was absolutely one of the highlights of my wedding. Before the wedding, they were easy to book, extremely responsive, and easy to work with. On the actual day of the wedding, they helped create the exact right atmosphere my wife and I were looking for. The dance floor was full the entire time, and everyone said it was the most they had ever danced at a wedding. I could not recommend Maryland's DJ enough!!!!
Highly recommend maryland's dj!
Maryland's DJ was fantastic from start to finish. They were extremely fast in responding to my request, beat everyone by at least 30 minutes! Their presentation of who they are and what they do well, and what separates them from other DJ's was clean and crisp. Steve was a fantastic DJ. We used him for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We got tons of compliments about the music he was playing and how he was able to keep everyone on the dance floor. I'd highly recommend using Maryland's DJ!!
Maryland’s DJ was the absolute best! They were extremely responsive, personable, and easy to work with. Taylor was extremely on top of things and very responsive. Brian our DJ truly listened and made our party flow and really banged out some tunes! Exactly what we had wanted! He kept our reception moving after getting behind due to a transportation issue which delayed the wedding. He was able to readjust and make sure the essentials happened, and happened well! It was the best dance party! Our only regret was that we didn’t get to experience it longer due to the timeline delay! But thank you Brian and Maryland’s DJ for helping make our wedding extremely memorable and the most special day! We would definitely recommend you!

Maryland's DJ was a joy to work with. Jordan and Steve were helpful from the very beginning to the week of the wedding and then our DJ, Jesse Baker, was a blast!!! He did an incredible job with our ceremony, cocktail hour, and DANCE PARTY!
Jordan did an amazing job of personalizing the entire wedding experience for us! He took the time to go through songs that were a must play, play if we had time or the vibe was right, and songs that were absolutely do not play! He even helped us pick some of those harder to think of songs like Mother/Groom Father/Daughter, etc. Highly recommend!
Maryland’s DJ was fantastic! They were able to act on the fly when our timelines had to be pushed around. And the music was great. We had guests requesting the playlist all night.
The Best of The Best
I’ve been two 3 weddings done by Maryland’s DJ and each one including my own have been absolute blasts. I had the pleasure of working with Steve and he killed it. He kept the dance floor packed all night and really made the night the party that it was. I would say if you want your guests to have a great time that they are talking about for a long time after go with these guys, the are incredible.
DJ Steve from Maryland’s DJ provided music and lights for our event and was incredible! The lighting was perfect for the venue and really brought our vision to life. The music was on point all evening, and we really appreciated how willing Steve was to make announcements on the fly and to just go find out answers to questions so we didn’t have to stress. The guests had a great time dancing and so did we! We 100% recommend Steve and Maryland’s DJ for your wedding or other event!
The best DJ around!
We got married September 21, 2019 and we will always remember the 21st night of September because of our amazing DJ, Brian! Brian was amazing to work with on our wedding day and the many months leading up to the wedding. He asked for a timeline months in advance so we could pick the perfect song for each moment of the ceremony and reception. He even gave us suggestions when we were unsure of what song to play when we were being introduced as husband and wife, and offered to remix a few songs for us! Our family and friends are still talking about how much fun our wedding was and it is largely due to the music and lively atmosphere Brian created. We cannot thank him enough and will recommend him to anyone we talk to. This dude knows music and knows how to turn a party into a PARTAY!
I’m sure the other DJ’s are great, but I can’t imagine a better DJ than Steve Hartka. He was attentive to all of our needs and even handled my parents well!!! He had my grandmother dancing! THE BEST!

Marylands DJ is the absolute best. From start to finish, they were so organized and professional, and made us feel confident we hired the perfect people for entertaining our guests on our wedding day. Steve Hartka was our DJ and he truly was incredible. He took the time to work with us leading up to the wedding to understand the vibe we were going for, help us with logistics for the ceremony, reception announcements and flow of the evening, and so much more. Brian was the best DJ!! We loved all the song choices and remixes and the transitions were amazing too! Everyone at the wedding was raving about how good the DJ was and we couldn’t have imagined a better dance floor. We picked some songs but then also told Brian to just keep people on the dance floor and he definitely delivered. Even the parents and aunts and uncles were dancing most of the night! Our only regret was not having more time for dancing!

Marylands Dj was amazing to work with from the start. Dj Mike worked with us to understand the overall feel we wanted and delivered above our expectations. So many guests came up to us after the reception and commented on the amazing job he did!
My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Maryland's DJ. We worked closely with Steve Hartka throughout the entire process and we both have nothing but nice things to say about him and the company as a whole. Steve was responsive with emails and their portal is a great tool for filling out forms and music choices, contacting your DJ and keeping track of your payments. The best part about the experience was the wedding day. Steve and his assistant showed up on time and had everything set up within an hour. He took down all of our important song requests. These guys are true professionals. Everything was so on point with ceremony and cocktail hour music. And the reception was one for the books. Steve and his assistant had our dance floor packed throughout the entire reception. We had multiple people tell us after the fact that it was one of the best receptions they had ever been too. And a large part of that is owed to Steve and Maryland's DJ for making our special night a truly memorable one.

Huge thank you to Maryland's DJ for helping us celebrate our wedding! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect DJ than Steve from Maryland's DJ! He kept everyone dancing all night as we celebrated our big day! He was extremely professional throughout the entire process and was masterful in matching the energy that we were looking for in a DJ. We also used the Video 360 provided by Maryland's DJ for some super fun videos that captured our guests at our celebration in a unique and special way. It's such a joy to see our friends and family so happy for us and celebrating in their own special way!
Working with Maryland’s DJ was a breeze from the start. Jordan was very informative and laid out all the information for us from our first initial call. We also had a Zoom meeting with Jordan and our DJ for the wedding - Steve, who also helped answer more questions. The portal they use is also convenient and helped us really think about all the details and music we wanted for our wedding, and it was relatively easy to use. Steve also checked back with us a few weeks before the wedding and we ran through everything with him, helping us feel more comfortable. On the day of the wedding, Steve and his assistant ran the wedding and worked with my other vendors to keep the day moving and things on time. He played great music and kept the dance floor packed and I could not have had a better experience! I highly recommend Maryland’s DJ!!
3/11/22 Perfect Wedding
Maryland's DJ was super easy to work with. They setup a call with us to determine our style and then another meeting with a DJ who fit is best. We worked with DJ Brian. Brian was great! He got everyone up and dancing and really hit the vibe. They also offer an extremely user friendly website to help the couple plan their songs from ceremony into the reception. Highly recommend!!! The moment we started working with Jordan and the rest of the team, it was a dream! Professional, kind, creative, and responsive are just a few of the adjectives that come to mind when we think of how fabulous they made our wedding! Jordan took our small list of seemingly random music choices and tied them together into a cohesive and beautiful song list to truly express ourselves as a newly married couple. Now, we are trying to figure out what event we can host to have Jordan and his team DJ again!! We had a great experience working with Maryland's DJ! Brian (our DJ) and Chris (on saxophone) were an absolute dream team. From the planning stages to the big day, they were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. On the day of the event, they nailed it- reading the vibe of the crowd flawlessly and delivering exactly the kind of music we envisioned. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the energy, the music, and especially Chris on sax- he stole the show!

I really don’t even know where to start. We have not stopped receiving messages from friends and family about how much of a blast they had. Jordan was absolutely incredible, his demo meetings were some of the most helpful we had throughout this season whole process, his online portal was such a great tool to have while planning. One of the best decisions we made throughout this whole process, our wedding was a blast. One thing he will definitely make sure of is that your wedding truly feels like yours. The process was so individualized to you, and it will never feel like it’s anybody else’s day but yours. Do yourselves a favor and book Maryland’s DJ, you will not regret it!
I was looking for the best of the best. And I got it. DJ Steve was impeccable! He followed out timeline exactly how I was hoping he would. But also he gave me the option to adjust it if I wanted to. He held down the fort because the other vendors were not as on top-of-things. Pretty solid! Everytime I wanted to see him to ask him something during the reception he was right there asking the same thing. I couldn't be happier. I wish I could have the soundtrack to the night!
Jordan and Steve of Maryland’s DJ were a blast to work with! When inquiring about different DJs for our wedding it was a pleasant surprise to learn that Maryland’s DJ offered a free live demo. That’s something I never heard of before. It was really helpful to meet the owner, Jordan and the DJ who would be playing our wedding, Steve. We clicked immediately. We were able to tell him our music styles and vision for the wedding and had the opportunity to hear some sample mixes based on the information provided. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our decision making process and were willing to work with our budget. Even when I made last minute song requests and changes the night before the wedding, Steve was very accommodating and made the changes with no problem. We highly recommend them for any event. Jordan from Maryland’s DJ just did our wedding reception and we couldn’t be happier with his services. From the beginning of working with him in the planning stages he was professional, easy to contact and very helpful in listening to what we wanted, making suggestions and putting it all together into an excellent performance. The day of the wedding he was on time, set-up and ready to rock the house. He is an excellent MC helping the wedding run smoothly and keeping the night on track. When it came time to open the dance floor he is unbelievable at creating an energy in the room and keeping it going, reading the crowd and keeping the party lively. I highly recommend you consider him for your next event, from this point forward I won’t use anyone else.
Having Jordan as our wedding DJ was an absolute delight. The first time we ever spoke to Jordan, it was for close to an hour as he laid out his experience as a DJ, particularly with weddings, and answered all of our questions about why we should consider hiring him. Since that initial interview, Jordan was always available to us via phone, text, or email, often responding within the hour, and was happy to answer the most trivial of questions that we had. Jordan prepared thoroughly before the wedding, sending us a detailed questionnaire, schedule, and song list to complete, to make sure every detail was exactly how we wanted it. And we met via video chat a couple weeks before the wedding just to talk everything over and iron out any remaining details. At the wedding itself, Jordan was terrific. He arrived early. He coordinated with our other vendors and the staff at the venue to set up his equipment so that we weren't disturbed. He made introductions, provided announcements, and, of course, kept the dance floor grooving for the entire night. Not to mention, the photo booth that we reserved through Maryland's DJ was a massive hit with our guests! Everything unfolded seamlessly. On top of all the things I mentioned above, Jordan is quite simply a genuine, friendly, and easygoing person. My wife and I liked talking to and interacting with him. He made our lives a little less hectic while planning a wedding in the midst of the ongoing pandemic: no small feat. Maryland's DJ has a strong recommendation from us, and a tremendous thank you, Jordan, for all your hard work!

Brian (DJ) was very professional and played a perfect mix for our wedding celebration. He had great transitions and we felt like we heard all of our favorite songs! I can't recommend Maryland's DJ enough!
Jordan was amazing! He was such a delight to work with throughout the whole wedding process. Jordan had started with us as our DJ before we had to postpone due to covid. Super accommodating and happy to help us adjust to the new date. At the wedding itself, what a blast! The music was on point, including songs that were important for us to play, and songs to keep the crowd moving. Jordan took the time to listen to our interests in songs and it showed. As the bride and groom, we had requests for BTS, pop -punk, and EDM. Jordan hit that all and then some. All night, wedding guests would compliment the music and the DJ. The photobooth was great as well. All of our guests had a great time using the photobooth. It was fun and easy for all. 10/10 would hire Jordan again in a heartbeat.
Best wedding DJ ever!!
Steve from Maryland’s DJ was extremely knowledgeable, did a great job of listening to everyone’s requests, and filling in the gaps with other fun music. We had a small wedding due to COVID-19 but Steve got every single person on the dance floor, making it the reception we always dreamed of having. We truly cannot recommend Maryland’s DJ enough!
I initially discovered Jordan performing at my friend's wedding and reached out for my own wedding a couple years later. Maryland's DJ is super flexible and fun to work with! I had my brothers band play a set for my wedding and Maryland's DJ was very flexible to adapting this in so that it was a seamless transition between band and dj. They really take the time to personalize the music to you while also creating a vibe that gets everyone young and older up on the dance floor. Everything was so natural and well organized between Maryland DJ for each aspect of my wedding. They truly don't miss a beat! 😉 I couldn't recommend them more and now as I work in the wedding industry I have had the opportunity to see them on another level. From both my personal and professional experience they are my go-to recommendation to couples who I work closely with.

Jordan is AWESOME! We had 185 people at our wedding and he handled the crowd with ease. He kept the intros/ and beginning dances on scheduled and got the dance floor rolling right on time. Once we opened the dance floor he had the whole party dancing all night from teenagers to grandparents (even my 82 year old grandma was on the floor dancing to everything from Michael Buble to David Guetta). He played all of the music we requested and added mashup versions to others that were great. Jordan was easily one of the best decisions that we made during the wedding process and we would highly recommend him to anyone! Thank you Jordan!! ~Molly and Luke
Jordan was absolutely amazing at my wedding! He played great music and got my guests on the dance floor. He was a charming, funny and charasmatic MC and kept the entire reception running smoothly. Neil was amazing on our big day. He made the pre planning and event execution go very smoothly. He also brought a controlled and calming presence at our wedding, which was a refreshing experience since everyone else around us was chaotic. To me, finding a good DJ was one of the most important parts of my wedding. We wanted someone who was current but that could also cater to our parent’s friends. Brian was recommended to me by a few different people. Our Wedding was not the easiest because it was in a remote location without wifi/service. We ended up contracting him for extra time because we didn’t want the party to end. Everyone told me how much they loved our DJ and a bunch of my friends are using him for their weddings. I highly recommend Brian!
Middle School Dance
As someone who works with middle schoolers every day, I know they are a hard group to please. Steve was very good at working with the kids, but also with honoring the teachers' wishes as well. We have worked with him for a few years now and I will continue to do so!

We had absolutely a great wedding experience with Jordan. He met with us throughout the process to ensure that the music you played was representative of our traditions, loves, and other great tunes that were similar to what we enjoyed. Our guests were quite complementary of his work and we enjoyed that he kept all of us on the dance floor. Moreover he pronounced everyone, including ours, names correctly and had such great enthusiasm during the reception! We appreciated that he met with us over Skype again the week before the wedding to go over everything and ensure the finishing touches were great. We even received compliments on the music you played well people were waiting for the wedding procession. He’s a great DJ, I’m glad we found him!
Working with Jesse was overall great and he helped us get our party started! Unfortunately, he was about 40 minutes late to the venue and switched up the order of songs, dances, and toasts. Other than that, once the night got going, everything went smoothly and we were the only ones who noticed. These things happen though, and we still had an amazing time! He did a great job of reading the crowd and selecting songs to keep our guests up and dancing. He was also checking in with us throughout the night to make sure we were having a good time, etc.
Where do I begin?! Jordan is above and beyond what you can expect from your wedding DJ. Well before the wedding, we met with Jordan and discussed what we were looking for, what type of genres we wanted covered, and what we expected the overall feel of the wedding to be. Everything was cataloged and noted and he truly listened to every question, comment, and request we had. A few weeks before the wedding we met with Jordan again to finalize the timeline of the wedding, which specific songs we wanted played or not played, and any last minute details he should note. He took interest in every detail and really wanted this to genuinely be a perfect and free-flowing wedding day for us. Jordan was available from the moment I reached out to him originally up until the wedding date. He responded to any questions I had quickly and always made me feel comfortable that everything was under control. With his commanding presence, he MC'd the whole wedding day! He introduced us and our families at the reception, queued the "Hava Nagila" dance to a crowd of almost 160 people, and kept everything moving right along. There wasn't a pause to the dancing! Everyone from my 14 year old cousin to my 75 year old grandma was busting a move on the dance floor. His song selection and his transitions to other songs were fluid and appealed to everyone (which is what we wanted). I can't imagine anybody else DJ-ing our wedding. He is organized, communicable, transparent, and just plain fun! I wouldn't hesitate one more second and just make the best decision for the sake of your wedding day- choose Jordan as your DJ. Plain and simple!
