Best night of our lives!

Music truly sets the tone for every occasion. Neil and the team from Marylands DJ executed our vision perfectly. They were professional, friendly, and relatable which we appreciated most! I'm so thankful for them keeping us in the loop with timing throughout the planning process and during our event. Our night was so special and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you for everything!!!

I worked with Jordan for my clients wedding in November and he was awesome! He was fully prepared for their intricate playlist that required some mixing (EDM/Emo) and they had very specific requests and he nailed it! He was prompt, communicative and kind. He was also a great MC and they also had a photobooth through Marylands DJ that was great as well. Good DJs are hard to come by in this industry but with that one wedding, Jordan made it onto my preferred DJ list. Highly recommend!

Oh my gosh, our DJ, Harvey, was a 10 on everything!!! And the photo booth turned out better than I expected. It was amazing working with Harvey, he was basically our wedding coordinator! Everyone complimented his dj skills and my husband and I loved his transitions and making sure that we're still on schedule or if anything needed to be changed around due to time. Party Never Stopped

Everyone at MD's DJ was so great to work with! Taylor helped with scheduling and coordination, and she was so responsive, kind, and a joy to work with! DJ Steve was originally supposed to do our wedding and he produces music as well as DJing, so when I brought him a first dance song that I loved but felt too long, he helped me rework it keeping all of the sentimental parts while trimming it down to a reasonable time. He is so great! Something came up and he couldn't make it to our event, so DJ Scott stepped in and was so great! Every song he played was met with cheers and our guests RAVED about him. He kept the dance floor full all night and everyone had so much fun!! Highly recommend Marylands DJ!!!

Maryland's DJ ere amazing. It was very easy to communicate with them and they asked all the right questions to make our event a wonderful one. Our DJ Steve understood our vision immediately and was able to deliver to it flawlessly. They were very flexible and helped up think through a lot of details. Steve was nothing short of amazing! He provided us with a fun, entertaining, and memorable wedding reception! Steve constantly had the dance floor completely full! Steve Hartka at Maryland's DJ is GREAT!

Steve Hartka from Maryland's DJ dj'ed our wedding at The Hotel at UMD and it was a huge success! The process started with a video call where he could demonstrate his dj style which was very cool. From there we were able to make a 'must play,' 'would like played,' and 'don't play' list to completely customize our playlist. We let Steve take it from there and he had our guests dancing all night long. We had UMD's mascot Testudo show up and Steve was happy to announce on cue and play the fight song. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dj for any event!

Jordan was the best DJ we could've hoped for at our wedding! He was super responsive in the planning stages ahead of the big day, and was quick to accommodate all of our crazy last minute changes. One of the most important things for us was that it was not "his show." He played great music during our cocktail hour, during dinner, and slayed it with the dance floor music, and he was also a great MC throughout the evening who highlighted the speakers without being too distracting. We are absolutely thrilled with his service, and are trying to figure out what parties we can throw with him in the future!

Brian from Marylands DJ was amazing

Brian was extremely professional and was responsive to all of our wants and requests, im sure if we asked he'd have grabbed us a drink xD He always double checked before we moved on to each and every step of our wedding. Incredible celebration for family and friends

Steve with Maryland’s DJ was absolutely incredible! He was flexible, easy-going, yet also very organized and was an amazing emcee for the night. He did a wonderful job for our ceremony, cocktail, and reception. Our guests had such a blast. The uplighting from Maryland’s DJ was also amazing in our space. We used Maryland’s DJ for our 150-person black tie optional wedding in Washington DC. Services included music (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception), photo booth, and uplights. Everything was flawless. Jordan was our DJ and he was an absolute pro. Music done well has the power to make life feel like a movie and create epic moments and memories. That’s what Jordan delivered for us. Cannot recommend him enough. The photo booth was a huge hit. Totally customizable and looked great.

Amazing!!!! Best DJ ever

We worked with Jordan for our wedding and my legs are still sore from never having left the dance floor. Jordan was involved in every stage of our planning process and made himself readily available for any questions, concerns, or random additions. He was even prepared for changes we needed to make on the fly, day of during the celebration. He read the room throughout the night and kept the dance floor packed and we couldn't have imagined a more perfect night; due in large part to Jordan and his team. If you need a DJ for an event you have coming up, there is really only one option in Maryland's DJ. The name of the company is fitting because they are by far "THE" Maryland's DJ and not just "A" DJ in Maryland

I am so thankful to Steve and his team at Maryland's DJ for absolutely bringing the party!! There are so many details that need the brides attention but he knew exactly what to do and totally understood what we were going for. His calls where detailed and helpful and professional which is more than I can say for some other vendors. I loved my wedding and spent the whole evening on a PACKED dance floor because of this man. He also did audio for our ceremony and was very helpful making sure everyone could hear even at an outside event. I cannot say enough about how great he is.

Jesse was hands down the best DJ we’ve ever worked with. He did our wedding. He didn’t just press play on a playlist and let it go. We discussed our vision for the night and he executed perfectly. He read the crowd, played the songs he could see people were singing along and dancing too, and kept the dance floor packed all night. He’s also clearly very experienced with the flow of weddings as well, so helped us with our timeline for the night. If you’re looking for a DJ that will ensure the night goes exactly how you want it to, this is your guy. We were so impressed at the way he took everything we said we wanted in our wedding and made it happen.

Jordan is the BEST!

Jordan was very professional and extremely detail-oriented. He took the time to understand the "dance floor vibe" we wanted to create at our reception, and built a custom playlist to capture it. You won't find a better DJ anywhere!

DJ Mebaa is way too good at his job. During the planning stages, he made sure to check in with helpful reminders, and he was great at meeting us where we are and walking us along the process. He took note of not only the songs we wanted for our wedding day but generally what kind of music we liked and the moods we were trying to set. On the day of, he was completely professional—arrived on time, checked in to make sure we were good, and always flexible and accommodating. He went the extra mile to coordinate with the other vendors and help out where he could, even if it was beyond what we expected from him. And greatest of all, he had EVERYONE on the dance floor for the whole time. We couldn’t have thrown this smooth of an event and this great of a party without him.

The absolute BEST!

Our wedding day could not have come even close to what it was without Steve! Throughout the entire process he was incredibly responsive and accommodating especially when we had to postpone our original date! During our consultation he had our exact style of music to a T, and when it came to the day of he absolutely nailed it! Steve read the crowd from the very start and kept our guests on the dance floor all night, from the very first song to the very last! People of all ages who attended our wedding continue to rave about how much fun they had, and we honestly could not have done it without him! 10000% would recommend hiring him!

Absolutely incredible!

Our photographer referred us to Jordan and we couldn’t be happier that she did! He was extremely helpful and always there when we had any questions, especially with having to change our date due to COVID. The lighting was absolutely amazing and the photo booth was a complete hit. I don’t think there was a single moment the dance floor was empty once dinner was over, besides the cake cutting. Jordan covered a lot of genres of music so there was a little bit of everything for everyone in attendance. The night flowed seamlessly and we knew we were in good hands throughout!

Mike Q is AMAZING! Our wedding was SO fun! His MC skills, not to mention his music choices and playlist, are absolutely perfect! He got to know us and played the perfect music, all of our family wants to steal the playlist now! He kept the dancing going all night, he checked in with us so thoughtfully and coordinated throughout our reception to keep us on track, and he’s the nicest person! He made sure the night was about us, he’s such a professional. Mike Q collaborated with all our vendors and they love him too! He also made the planning process so easy! We cannot recommend him enough, I would give him 100 stars!

Maryland's DJ For The Win

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Maryland's DJ. We worked closely with Steve Hartka throughout the entire process and we both have nothing but nice things to say about him and the company as a whole. Steve was responsive with emails and their portal is a great tool for filling out forms and music choices, contacting your DJ and keeping track of your payments. The best part about the experience was the wedding day. Steve and his assistant showed up on time and had everything set up within an hour. He took down all of our important song requests. Jordan (the owner of Maryland’s DJ) is great and was professional and enthusiastic during the booking process. He even invited us to his studio to hear him spin so we would know for sure if it was a good fit. He was a total pro and really understood our music preferences. Unfortunately, Jordan ended up not being able to DJ our wedding due to covid related wedding rescheduling. While we totally understand that things pop up, we weren’t blown away by the backup option, Brian. Brian played the songs we requested and followed our timeline, but wasn’t a great emcee. He was pretty soft-spoken and wasn’t as energetic as we had hoped. The speakers had noticeable feedback about 6 times throughout the night - especially during our toasts/speeches which was unfortunate. Brian wasn’t very assertive so this had an impact on the overall coordination throughout the night for the speeches, group photo, etc. All in all, we had a pretty good experience, but would probably not book Brian again if we had the option.

I was at an event hosted by Steve. He was incredibly professional and had the dance floor rocking all night long. When I have my chance to hire a DJ for a special event, I’m calling Maryland’s DJ!

Great DJ Services!

The way Marylands DJs works is that after an introductory meeting, we were paired with a DJ that they think will be a good fit for you. Brian did an amazing job for our wedding! He did both the ceremony and reception for us. The online tool they use to coordinate your music choices really makes it easy to communicate what you want without having to have a bunch of meetings. We had one final details meeting a few days before our wedding day and Brian hit the nail on the head with what we were looking for. Our guests had a fantastic time on the dance floor and people you would never expect to see out dancing were absolutely letting loose!

From the interview and booking experience early on, to the online portal and various check in meetings, we were confident Maryland's DJ would do a great job. And on the day of the wedding, they nailed it. Steve H was amazing as an emcee and DJ; he kept things flowing smoothly throughout the night, and all of our guests kept telling us how great the music was. We would definitely recommend the photo booth and lighting packages as well. A great experience all around.

On the big day, he transitioned so well between the cocktail hour, intros, dining and dancing. Everything flowed so well. Our guests never stopped dancing throughout. Having a good DJ was honestly the most important part of the wedding to me. From the moment Maryland's DJ first reached out, they were incredibly professional and responsive. We had the absolute pleasure of having DJ Neil at our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Neil was eager to understand our vibe for the day. He read the room effortlessly and kept the energy high and the transitions smooth. Neil even got my husband on the dance floor and he hates dancing! Having Jordan as our wedding DJ was an absolute delight. The first time we ever spoke to Jordan, it was for close to an hour as he laid out his experience as a DJ, particularly with weddings, and answered all of our questions about why we should consider hiring him. Since that initial interview, Jordan was always available to us via phone, text, or email, often responding within the hour, and was happy to answer the most trivial of questions that we had. Jordan prepared thoroughly before the wedding, sending us a detailed questionnaire, schedule, and song list to complete, to make sure every detail was exactly how we wanted it. And we met via video chat a couple weeks before the wedding just to talk everything over and iron out any remaining details. At the wedding itself, Jordan was terrific. He arrived early. He coordinated with our other vendors and the staff at the venue to set up his equipment so that we weren't disturbed. He made introductions, provided announcements, and, of course, kept the dance floor grooving for the entire night. Not to mention, the photo booth that we reserved through Maryland's DJ was a massive hit with our guests! Everything unfolded seamlessly On top of all the things I mentioned above, Jordan is quite simply a genuine, friendly, and easygoing person. My wife and I liked talking to and interacting with him. He made our lives a little less hectic while planning a wedding in the midst of the ongoing pandemic: no small feat. Maryland's DJ has a strong recommendation from us, and a tremendous thank you, Jordan, for all your hard work!

Very professional DJs who kept the energy going at our wedding

We aren't big dancers in my family, so Steve had a challenge -- but he was able to get everyone up and smiling and dancing until our 10:30 exit! The energy never slipped. Very easy process communicating and planning. We got lots of compliments on our wedding and many of them mentioned the DJ (Steve) in particular. Steve never said anything cringey or cheesy but was able to make great announcements when needed. One of my favorite memories is cutting our cake to "Short Skirt, Long Jacket" by CAKE (get it?) while hearing our guests singing along. Tons of fun. Highly recommended.

22/10 recommend Maryland's DJ!! We worked with DJ John and MC Laz for our wedding and I cannot stress this enough when I say those two knocked it out of the park. They worked with us to make the planning very simple and straight forward. They were super helpful with recommendations for prelude and cocktail hour music. The planning portal was super easy and fun to put together our dream wedding playlist. From the prelude music all the way until the very last song of the night, Laz and John worked with us to execute our vision flawlessly. Now whenever I hear of anyone holding a wedding or event that calls for a DJ, without hesitation I will always recommend, Maryland's DJ! Organized, smooth, and so much fun!

We were between two different vendors for our wedding and I couldn’t be more thankful to have committed to Mike Q and Marylands DJ! We had only two short meetings because Mike was on the same wave length as us the moment we had our consult with him. Mike was easy going, reassuring, organized, and so much fun. He made our Polish American wedding feel like an absolute dream and had our entire family on the dance floor in seconds. He also knew when the reel everyone in to have the heartfelt serious moments. Jordan was absolutely THE BEST DJ! Periodt. Our dancefloor was packed for 4+ hours because of Jordan. The way he weaved in our "must play" songs into other songs and remixes that fit the vibe of the room was truly masterful. To keep that many people going for that long was really awesome. Even during the cocktail hour and dinner, the music he selected was perfect. So many people came up to us both during and after the ceremony to ask "where do I find that song," because the music was so perfectly us they assumed we had made a playlist. But no, it was all Jordan. He took the time to actually get to know us before the ceremony, to pick up on exactly what we liked (and just as importantly disliked) so that the music would be perfect. Also, can't emphasize how impressed we were with the uplighting he provided, which really added an extra element to the room. The photobooth was also amazing. Would 100% recommend Jordan!!

I had Maryland's DJ for my wedding last weekend and they totally rocked it. We got a lot of compliments that night for the music mixes and the energy. Brian was a lot of fun to work with, at one point some during the reception guest were slowing down a bit but he was able to get everyone excited and dancing again in no time. I knew several years before my wedding that I wanted to work with Maryland’s DJ after seeing them at a friend’s wedding so I’m so happy they were available and there to make my big day so memorable!

Words cannot express what it was like to have Jordan as the DJ at our wedding. If it was not for Jordan the entire ceremony and reception would have fallen apart. This was an unexpected part of his job. My wedding coordinator lacked coordinating and he took over. The entire day/night was stress free and went perfectly. He hinted at when certain things should occur and prepared my husband and I at a meeting before the wedding. THEN he played tons of dance music from stations like 104.3 and 106.5. The reception was high energy! It was an appropriate mix of music the entire night. The sound quality was great and he was not a corny DJ like they mention to beware of in bridal magazines. He didn't tell jokes or steal the attention. He was down to Earth and everyone loved him. All 150 people have complimented my husband and me. They say that they have never been to a more beautiful and fun filled wedding. We owe the success of the evening to Jordan! He added so much to our special day.

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Steve from Maryland's DJ for our wedding. Steve was great to work with from the get-go: he was communicative, responsive, and super easy to get along with. Our music taste is very particular and Steve really "got" us. He even offered to spin vinyl at our party, which we were super excited about. On the day of the event, Steve was not only professional but also made our small (covid-sized) party a blast. I don’t even know where to start. Steve undoubtedly made our wedding night the amazing party that it was. My husband and I have a wide variety when it comes to taste in music. Steve found a way to play everything we wanted at the perfect time. They’re planning portal made it super easy to make sure Steve knew exactly what we wanted and didn’t want played. When it came time to dancing, I don’t think there was ever a time that the dance floor was empty. I still don’t have a voice from all the singing we did. Perfect Wedding Dance Party!

Maryland's DJ was so great to work with--very responsive and thorough in answering all of our initial questions. We especially loved that we could include a photobooth and uplighting with our entertainment package! And we'll add to the chorus of rave reviews for DJ Mike Q! He kept the dance floor PACKED and truly everyone had a great time--from our millenial friends all the way up to our 90 year old grandparents! Mike incorporated all of our requests, both songs and different special dances. He even communicated with us about a couple of plan changes we wanted to make just that day, and made it all run seamlessly. It was such a perfect, celebratory, and very "us" dance party! Great Experience working with Maryland's DJ!

Working with Maryland's DJ was great! Their online forms and music selection portal are detailed and well-organized. The DJ we had for our wedding, Jamaal, was very responsive, flexible with our requests and kept our guests out on the dance floor!

Working with Steve was an absolute dream. When we started out planning, we knew that the music would be the most important factor of our wedding for us, and Steve exceeded our expectations with the most incredible DJ set for our wedding reception. He listened to what we wanted, worked with our requests and elevated the music to the point where people are still talking about the playlist and asking us to send it to them. I would recommend Steve to ANYONE but especially for those couples who are particular about their music! Jordan Solander of Maryland’s DJ was the best DJ ever! We booked Jordan as our DJ for our wedding at Elkridge Furnace Inn in 2020. After our first phone call, we knew immediately that we wanted to have him DJ our wedding. He is professional, has years of experience, and is so relaxed and chill, we loved his vibe! My husband and I both loved working with Jordan throughout the past 2+ years. When we decided to postpone in 2020, he was quick to make the rescheduling easy to do for our wedding in May 2021, then again in December 2021 (thanks Covid!). Picking our songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing was easy with Jordan’s platform. I felt like after Jordan looked at our song choices, he knew exactly what to play all night. Jordan read the crowd and knew exactly what to play next to keep the party going. He did a fabulous job MC-ing the reception, keeping the event on-track throughout and organizing the crowd for our sparkler send off also without coming across as at all “cheesy”. Jordan carries himself with the ultimate cool laid back vibe – perfect for this stressed out bride! He also handled a special request for my daughter singing an Adele song just right– miking her, loading her background track and allowing her to run through it once before the reception began. Brian Doane was our DJ for our November wedding at Chesapeake Bay Foundation. In my opinion this venue can be one of the more difficult ones to navigate for music because there are many location possibilities for the ceremony to take place. Brian was so easy going and awesome to work with from start to finish. We had some music requests but he did a great job feeling out the crowd and kept the party moving all night! I don’t think our dance floor was empty the whole reception! He is a great friend and awesome DJ. I would recommend him for any event!

Maryland’s DJ was phenomenal! Taylor was super helpful and responsive during the early stages of planning. DJ Scott was FANTASTIC. Another DJ was supposed to cover our event, but something came up and Jordan (owner) called to apologize and ensure that DJ Scott was the best candidate to entertain our guests. We had 125 guests and the dance floor was packed ALL night. I could not recommend DJ Scott more!

Seamless Ceremony & A Packed Dance Floor

Steve was absolutely amazing at our wedding a few months ago. He is literally a walking encyclopedia of music information, and he was able to mesh all of our interests (funk, 80-90s R&B, contemporary pop, etc.) into one seamless night that had the entire dance floor packed all night long. Ryan Carr with Maryland's DJ was awesome, he was great to work with through the process of planning our wedding, explained everything thoroughly and was super helpful. He and his partner for our event set the mood for our whole day and we can't recommend them highly enough, everyone loved the energy and the music. Their planning features were so awesome, they allowed us to organize songs by must play, do not play, etc. which really helped us put our personality into our wedding.

Everyone at MD's DJ was so great to work with! Taylor helped with scheduling and coordination, and she was so responsive, kind, and a joy to work with! DJ Steve was originally supposed to do our wedding and he produces music as well as DJing, so when I brought him a first dance song that I loved but felt too long, he helped me rework it keeping all of the sentimental parts while trimming it down to a reasonable time. He is so great! Something came up and he couldn't make it to our event, so DJ Scott stepped in and was so great! Every song he played was met with cheers and our guests RAVED about him. He kept the dance floor full all night and everyone had so much fun!! Highly recommend Marylands DJ!!!

Had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Brian and Maryland's DJ! They have several DJ's in their company which I appreciated, the first meeting was seeing what kind of music we wanted played and what the vibes of the day we were looking for. We spoke with Andrew and he helped us figure out who would be the best match for us and he nailed it with us having DJ Brian! Everyone at the wedding said they had so much fun and everyone was dancing the night away. I think he did a great job of taking requests and playing what we wanted. They have a whole form and website to help layout the day and potential music suggestions which was incredibly helpful!! I do not have one single negative comment about them. I am so thankful that he was able to keep everyone dancing and giving the range of music everyone wanted and could relate to. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a DJ!!

Jordan literally made our wedding a party! We had multiple meetings with him via Zoom because we needed help with song selections and he sat with us and helped us pick out the perfect ones! He also made our day run so smoothly… from pre ceremony all the way to the very last song. He had everyone on the dance floor and was able to find the groove to cater to all ages. We ended up using Maryland DJ because one of our friends used them for their wedding- safe to say we were not disappointed!! We had a couple calls with Ryan to run through everything prior to our big day and everything was a smooth process, including the online portal. Would highly recommend them!!

--Tl;dr stop reading this review and go book them right now! --We used Maryland’s DJ for our wedding reception and they were the most complimented vendor of the night. --Of the DJs we interviewed Marylands DJ was by far the most professional and put together, and from the beginning we trusted their whole team. This was important because the original DJ we booked with had a conflict on our wedding day, and we weren’t concerned in the slightest when we were assigned a new DJ. --The DJ for our wedding was DJ Mike Q and he was absolutely spectacular. He emceed very well following our instructions in their planning portal. He also could improvise well, like when I asked him to give a shout out to one of our grandmothers because it was her birthday. He also picked up on a song referenced in the best man’s speech and played it later in the night. He also takes song requests! --DJ Mike Q was so good at keeping folks on the dance floor. I kid you not, it was packed all night and he mixed in a lot of songs we put on a list that gave him our dancing music vibes. I remember I was viben so hard that I forgot to drink anything between 8 and 9 pm. Maybe we’re biased, but compared to the previous few weddings we attended DJ Mike Q absolutely played the best music for dancing from beginning to end. --He also added some fun mixes into the song list that made us belly laugh a few times. --We got the photobooth and they did a great job with it. Got all the photos within a day or two of the wedding from that. That was easy to use and we were glad we got it because it gave folks a break from dancing. --They also provided lighting and were super experienced and helpful when we had no idea how to pick what would look good in our venue --The online planning tool and regular email reminders were great tools to help us plan our music independently on our own time. --We didn’t book them for the ceremony, but I’m sure they would have done well. --We got uplighting from them and it looked great in the barn. They knew exactly where to put it and we didn’t even have to think about it. We trusted them and they delivered.

Awesome experience! Jordan was quick to respond to any questions we had and was a big help when he had to reschedule and change venues due to Covid. They even included up-lighting for us at a discounted rate! Steve was our DJ and he did a great job of being flexible with our schedule as well as keeping the crowd engaged. He came on the mic when requested, but otherwise just let the music play which was exactly what we wanted. Would highly recommend this service for your wedding or other future events!

We honestly could not imagine our wedding dance floor being any better. People were (not even kidding) begging the DJ to keep playing songs as the venue told us we had to go! The music and the energy was that good!! Can't recommend Steve enough and he'll keep everyone, from your college friends to your grandma to your cousin's toddler, on their feet and having a great time.

I was recommended by a friend to work with Maryland's DJ and that is about as much thought I put into it praying for an easy experience, and they absolutely CRUSHED IT. We had to postpone a year due to COVID-19, we wanted it to be a big party for everyone the whole time, and we were having a mixed marriage so we were worried different music tastes might make our "big party" goal complicated. Immediately had no worries on our wedding as everyone was vibing the whole night! Brian was our DJ and he knew the perfect moments to mix songs. We listed a couple songs to play, but Brian got the gist of what we wanted and it was a just a blast. There was never a wasted moment and never a feeling that a song had been cut short either. I had Maryland's DJ for my wedding last weekend and they totally rocked it. We got a lot of compliments that night for the music mixes and the energy. Brian was a lot of fun to work with, at one point some during the reception guest were slowing down a bit but he was able to get everyone excited and dancing again in no time.
