Brian was the best DJ!! We loved all the song choices and remixes and the transitions were amazing too! Everyone at the wedding was raving about how good the DJ was and we couldn’t have imagined a better dance floor. We picked some songs but then also told Brian to just keep people on the dance floor and he definitely delivered. Even the parents and aunts and uncles were dancing most of the night! Our only regret was not having more time for dancing!

Jordan and his team, including our DJ Steve spent lots of time up front getting to know us and our preferences for music at our wedding. They were also flexible through our many pandemic-driven reschedulings. And the end result was great! Guests commented that they liked the music, stayed dancing throughout the reception, and my wife and I had a great time! Highly recommended.

We have not even used the service yet, but I am already so impressed with our interactions. The booking experience was flawless and now that we are having to reschedule due to COVID, they have been so helpful and flexible. It has made a tough situation just that much easier.

Best Wedding DJ - Jordan

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Jordan! Not only did he make sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule but he made sure our dance floor was never empty. 4 years later people are still talking about our wedding. He was able to get people to dance that would normally never leave their chair. We are so thankful that Jordan was part of our special day!

We had a wonderful experience from the very beginning until the end! I’m sad it’s over!! It was a very organized process and I felt super cared for from the start! We were lucky enough to have Harvey as our DJ and he exceeded all of our expectations!! There was clear communication within the days leading up and then the actual wedding was a dream! The music was awesome and Maryland’s DJ and Harvey were incredible to work with! I would highly recommend them to anyone!! They are so knowledgeable and talented at what they do!

Awesome wedding DJ!

Working with Maryland's DJ was seamless and Steve was awesome! It was super simple to have an introductory conversation and Steve was amazing to work with from the start-- he has great energy and listened to what we were looking for in a DJ and for what vibe we wanted for the reception. The portal they use was super helpful and easy to use for planning. Steve was great on the day of and helped make sure that the dance floor was full the entire night! The photo booth was also super fun and all of our guests were raving about it the next morning. Highly recommend MD's DJ!

To start, Maryland's DJ is the absolute best. Very friendly and responsive. Jordan does a great job of matching couples to the perfect DJ. DJ Steve Hartka was a perfect fit for our wedding. From start to finish, Steve was very responsive and helpful. My wife and I requested that our first song be edited to add an instrumental portion, he kindly provided several edits which made our first dance a dream. All of our wedding guests have continued to comment on Steve's awesomeness. Steve was very friendly and accommodating with song requests from my newly minted niece. I would highly recommend Maryland's DJ and DJ Steve Hartka.

Yeah! Mike q is the g.o.a.t.

We had an amazing experience with our DJ Mike Q. Before we even chose to hire Maryland's DJ, he invited us out to see him perform which we HIGHLY recommend to any couple looking for a DJ. We got to see his style and read the energy in the room. Our wedding reception could not have gone any smoother. He checked in with us before and after big moments and made sure we were comfortable at all times (including being down to cut some dances short if needed). We really appreciated this because being in front of hundreds of people can be a LOT. His MC skills are top tier and the dance floor was PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG! He played all of our special requests and built off the list we gave him perfectly, even taking requests from our guests. He started amping up the energy during dinner so by the time the dance floor opened everyone was ready to party. We are still getting complements from guests about the music and atmosphere of the reception, thanks to our awesome DJ. THANK YOU SO MUCH MIKE Q!!!

Jordan was a great communicator SUPER responsive. We hired him for our wedding last October but had to cancel due to the pandemic. Had an anniversary party this pas weekend and he played all our requested music and was great. We also had a phot booth and it was AMAZING...highly recommend it. The only suggestion I can give is that he could of interacted more with the crowd and look happier! Aside from that it was a great experience and we have great memories.

Jordan was awesome! He is extremely experienced and it came through in our wedding! He read the crowd perfectly and got everyone dancing, even those that don’t normally dance. His website and process for making song recommendations prior to the wedding is seamless - with just a few recommendations from us as well as crowd sourced requests from our guests, Jordan created a playlist that was spot on from the cocktail hour through the reception. He helped make the day run smoothly and provided a lot of great advice leading up to the day. He was so proactive, fun and friendly with us during the wedding; we had guests asking if we knew him beforehand. We will be listening to the Spotify playlist he created for us for heart to come! Carlos was a great DJ and had a good setup during the wedding. He was very responsive and helpful during the planning phase which made the day of stress free and streamlined.

Maryland's DJ was the perfect DJ company for our wedding. DJ Harvey was so easy to communicate with, he worked with all of our vendors to ensure we had the best experience possible, and he kept the party going all night long! The energy from the dance floor was one of the most talked about parts of our wedding day and it wouldn't have been possible without DJ Harvey's skills as well as the great sound system and uplighting. We would recommend to anyone hoping to have a fun wedding reception!

Absolute best DJ/company ever

Jesse was the best DJ we have ever had the pleasure of partying with. He wasn’t just a “press play on a playlist” kind of DJ. He took our vision, read the crowd, and made sure everyone was on the dance floor all night.

We had Brian as our dj for our 9/5 wedding. He did a fantastic job! We are so happy we went with him and Maryland's DJ! He listened to our requests, played everything we wanted, had a great range of styles for everyone, and kept people dancing and in a good mood the whole night! Kept the vibe we wanted throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing! He was great on the mic for introductions and announcements throughout the night. He was always responsive to our emails and phone calls. He was helpful with all of our questions and anything else we needed help on! We definitely would recommend Brian + Maryland's dj and hire them again for anything else we needed a dj for!! :)

Book Them!

The very best! My now-husband and I are huge music fans. Finding the right wedding DJ was really important to us, and once we spoke to Steve and Jordan from Maryland's DJ, we knew our search was over. Steve was so incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. He played every single song we requested (including quite a few obscure/non-traditional songs), and did a great job of reading the room and playing music that kept people on the dance floor. He was also super kind and easy to talk to, and we greatly enjoyed working with him. Additionally, the online portal Maryland's DJ uses is incredibly easy to navigate, and helped make the planning process a genuinely fun experience. These guys are true professionals and absolute masters of their craft. I cannot recommend Maryland's DJ enough!

A good wedding DJ does more than play music. They help manage the flow of the day, they provide atmosphere and ambience, and most importantly, they run the fun on the dance floor. If you want a DJ service that matches your needs, that MCs as well as they DJ, and are a great time at your party, gathering, wedding, etc., you want Maryland’s DJ and you want DJ Steve. Steve isn’t the only DJ they have, but he ended up as DJ for our wedding after we met and consulted with Maryland’s DJ. They make a wonderful effort to match a couple with the styles of one of their excellent DJs. Their online portal provides lots of avenues to control the songs couples would like (or not!) at their wedding, and communication is always open. On the wedding day, DJ Steve was smooth as can be. He worked with us to facilitate a few last-minute lineup changes to the wedding party, to manage to the minute various announcements and scheduling of dances, was a wonderful and energetic MC — and when the dancefloor opened, he was an absolute joy to have at the DJ table. His mixes are on point and he works with you to make sure you’re getting the songs and sounds you and your guests want. You can’t go wrong with these folks.

Jordan is the best!

After going to multiple weddings with boring, unorganized DJs who played awkward and cringeworthy music, my husband and I knew we wanted better for our wedding. That’s how we found Jordan at Maryland DJ. From our amazing initial meeting, where Jordan mixed our favorite songs into a mini-set list, I knew Jordan was the perfect choice for the fun, energetic wedding we wanted. Our family and friends have not stopped praising Jordan and our wedding’s music: “that was the best wedding music I’ve ever heard” and “every song he played was perfect”. Jordan kept the dance floor packed all night, including my 3 year old cousin and my 70 year old great aunt. He played one amazing song after another, totally embracing our music tastes. Jordan also makes the wedding process as smooth as possible. His portal helps plan your ceremony and reception while giving you plenty of suggestions for “must-play” songs, parent dances, first dance songs, etc… At the wedding, he makes sure the ceremony and reception run smoothly through his promptness, his announcements, and his guest interactions. He isn’t corny or cheesy, but he will make sure everyone gets up dancing! We loved how thoughtful Jordan was through the entire event. He arrived early to the venue and even offered to help my dad and brother set up our chuppah. He checked in with us about 30 minutes before the end of the night to see if there were any last minute songs we still wanted to hear. And, when I put two musical songs on our cocktail hour/dinner playlist, he included some “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hanson” which made the night even more special and personalized. We can never thank Jordan enough for helping make our wedding perfect. If you want the best music and dancing at your wedding, Jordan is the perfect DJ for your event.

We’re so happy we chose Maryland’s DJ for our wedding entertainment. Jordan set us up with a DJ that fit the vibe we were going for and DJ Mike Q was perfect. He kept the party going and kept EVERYONE on the dance floor. Along with the portal to help us stay organized, we also met with DJ Mike Q a couple times before the wedding to make sure we were on the same page. Best dance floor ever!

We worked with Mike Q and had the most amazing experience. We told him our highest priority was to never have a lull in the dance floor and he absolutely delivered. I’ve been two 3 weddings done by Maryland’s DJ and each one including my own have been absolute blasts. I had the pleasure of working with Steve and he killed it. We loved working with Maryland's DJ. Jordan was helpful in getting us started and explaining the process, as well as with all the administrative things. Ryan was our DJ on our special day and did a superb job with the music he played, announcements and staying on top of things. Ryan is very personable and we had a great time working with him. Our photographer referred us to Jordan and we couldn’t be happier that she did! He was extremely helpful and always there when we had any questions, especially with having to change our date due to COVID. The lighting was absolutely amazing and the photo booth was a complete hit. I don’t think there was a single moment the dance floor was empty once dinner was over, besides the cake cutting. Jordan covered a lot of genres of music so there was a little bit of everything for everyone in attendance. The night flowed seamlessly and we knew we were in good hands throughout!

We had such a great experience from start to finish with everyone at Marylands DJ! Super informational, helpful and truly made our wedding night memorable on the dance floor. Every song was perfect and our DJ Brian kept the energy going all night long. I would 10/10 recommend anyone using them for their wedding!

Jordan was the DJ for our wedding and did a phenomenal job. He's an awesome guy, and not only a great DJ but a great voice on the mic as well! His company's website made the entire process very easy. The LED lighting is 100% worth an add on, it looked incredible, and his speaker/stand set up looked very nice in the room. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

The Maryland’s DJ was a great experience throughout the entire process, from beginning to finish. They were very flexible in this current environment as the time change for the wedding, and they were very accommodating. They provide great music and the sound throughout the wedding, coordinating with the venue with minimal questions for the wedding party as they went over the questions prior to the day of the event. I would recommend them for any function as the flexibility and capability was one of the most pleasant during the process of planning the wedding. Great job.

What can we say... Jordan was EXACTLY what we wanted for our wedding! He was extremely flexible with our requests and made the entire night go extremely seamless! The best mixing I have heard from a DJ at any wedding or party I've been to, by far. He kept the party going all night and made it look easy! He's worth every penny, TRUST US! If there's one thing you should go big on for your wedding, it's your DJ... and that DJ should be Jordan!

Maryland's DJ was professional and reliable, and super responsive to emails. We worked with Alex who was awesome! It was super easy-we made a playlist on Spotify of the type of songs we wanted and he went with it. Our dance floor was so fun and was exactly what we had envisioned. Absolutely the right choice for not only music but having an easy wedding day.

DJ Mebaa is way too good at his job. During the planning stages, he made sure to check in with helpful reminders, and he was great at meeting us where we are and walking us along the process. He took note of not only the songs we wanted for our wedding day but generally what kind of music we liked and the moods we were trying to set. On the day of, he was completely professional—arrived on time, checked in to make sure we were good, and always flexible and accommodating. He went the extra mile to coordinate with the other vendors and help out where he could, even if it was beyond what we expected from him. And greatest of all, he had EVERYONE on the dance floor for the whole time. We couldn’t have thrown this smooth of an event and this great of a party without him.

Neil and the rest of the team was AMAZING! We truly would not have changed a thing. Our guests stayed out on the dance floor all night long which is exactly what we wanted. We’ve had so many people tell us how awesome our DJ was and how great the music selections were. My husband and I had an absolute blast, we are so thankful to Neil and the team for making our night perfect. I’d give him an 11/10, he was very responsive through the entire planning process and delivered exactly what he said he would. He totally exceeded our expectations. Amazing DJ and Professionalism!

--Tl;dr stop reading this review and go book them right now! --We used Maryland’s DJ for our wedding reception and they were the most complimented vendor of the night. --Of the DJs we interviewed Marylands DJ was by far the most professional and put together, and from the beginning we trusted their whole team. This was important because the original DJ we booked with had a conflict on our wedding day, and we weren’t concerned in the slightest when we were assigned a new DJ. --The DJ for our wedding was DJ Mike Q and he was absolutely spectacular. He emceed very well following our instructions in their planning portal. He also could improvise well, like when I asked him to give a shout out to one of our grandmothers because it was her birthday. He also picked up on a song referenced in the best man’s speech and played it later in the night. He also takes song requests! --DJ Mike Q was so good at keeping folks on the dance floor. I kid you not, it was packed all night and he mixed in a lot of songs we put on a list that gave him our dancing music vibes. I remember I was viben so hard that I forgot to drink anything between 8 and 9 pm. Maybe we’re biased, but compared to the previous few weddings we attended DJ Mike Q absolutely played the best music for dancing from beginning to end. --He also added some fun mixes into the song list that made us belly laugh a few times. --We got the photobooth and they did a great job with it. Got all the photos within a day or two of the wedding from that. That was easy to use and we were glad we got it because it gave folks a break from dancing. --They also provided lighting and were super experienced and helpful when we had no idea how to pick what would look good in our venue --The online planning tool and regular email reminders were great tools to help us plan our music independently on our own time. --We didn’t book them for the ceremony, but I’m sure they would have done well. --We got uplighting from them and it looked great in the barn. They knew exactly where to put it and we didn’t even have to think about it. We trusted them and they delivered.

Ryan was an absolute rockstar for our wedding. Very responsive and helpful during the planning process. We had a lot of last minute changes and he was able to handle them with premier professionalism. Highly recommend Ryan and Maryland's DJ!!!

Maryland’s Dj made planning our wedding effortless every step of the way. Steve was accommodating and reassuring even at the most stressful times. We asked them to pull off an almost impossible task of keeping the dance floor going all night, and that did not disappoint. From the first song to the last, it was everything we imagined. Brian is awesome!

To me, finding a good DJ was one of the most important parts of my wedding. We wanted someone who was current but that could also cater to our parent’s friends. Brian was recommended to me by a few different people. Our Wedding was not the easiest because it was in a remote location without wifi/service. We ended up contracting him for extra time because we didn’t want the party to end. Everyone told me how much they loved our DJ and a bunch of my friends are using him for their weddings. I highly recommend Brian!

Working with Maryland’s DJ was a breeze from the start. Jordan was very informative and laid out all the information for us from our first initial call. We also had a Zoom meeting with Jordan and our DJ for the wedding - Steve, who also helped answer more questions. The portal they use is also convenient and helped us really think about all the details and music we wanted for our wedding, and it was relatively easy to use. Steve also checked back with us a few weeks before the wedding and we ran through everything with him, helping us feel more comfortable. On the day of the wedding, Steve and his assistant ran the wedding and worked with my other vendors to keep the day moving and things on time. He played great music and kept the dance floor packed and I could not have had a better experience! I highly recommend Maryland’s DJ!!

You have to hire Jordan to DJ your wedding! Seriously, I couldn't recommend him more highly. I was nervous about finding the right DJ and Jordan totally put me at ease. Before the wedding, he did a private demo for us so we could hear him at work but also so he could better understand what we liked and disliked and then tailor the music for our wedding accordingly. He was very responsive and great to work with throughout the process. Our guests danced the night away and Jordan got rave reviews from our friends and family. And to top it off, the price was on point, too!

Look no further! Best DJ around! Brian Doane was our DJ for our November wedding at Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Brian was so easy going and awesome to work with from start to finish. We had some music requests but he did a great job feeling out the crowd and kept the party moving all night! I don’t think our dance floor was empty the whole reception! He is a great friend and awesome DJ. I would recommend him for any event!

We highly recommend Maryland's DJ to DJ any wedding! They were professional and worked in a timely manner. We knew that we were in good hands with them. DJ Steve knocked it out of the park! Great People, Great Music, Great Service

Jordan and Steve of Maryland’s DJ were a blast to work with! When inquiring about different DJs for our wedding it was a pleasant surprise to learn that Maryland’s DJ offered a free live demo. That’s something I never heard of before. It was really helpful to meet the owner, Jordan and the DJ who would be playing our wedding, Steve. We clicked immediately. We were able to tell him our music styles and vision for the wedding and had the opportunity to hear some sample mixes based on the information provided. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our decision-making process and were willing to work with our budget. Even when I made last-minute song requests and changes the night before the wedding, Steve was very accommodating and made the changes with no problem. We highly recommend them for any event. Four Families, One Wedding - Rave Reviews!

Steve our DJ and Jordan, at Marylands DJ were with us for the long-haul. Our date originally in 11/2020 was pushed to 11/2021 only to be cancelled by our original venue 60 days before the big day. I am a to do list, plan ahead type of bride and had major anxiety about the new venue and our complicated family dynamics going into our big day. Steve was cool and confident and helped calm my nerves with every change or concern that cropped up right up to presenting us to the reception. Their planner portal is awesome! But he real reason you should work with this team is that they truly are Team Bride and Groom! It was a special event with great energy! Thanks Steve and Jordan!

Ross Hyatt DJ'd our wedding. Maryland's DJ promised us an amazing experience and Ross DELIVERED! From the start, the process of establishing with their team was easy despite us being out of state. Each member of the team was kind, helpful, and prompt. Once we were paired with Ross as our assigned DJ, most of our communication/collaboration was through him. He was always responsive, kind, and professional regardless of day of the week or time of day. He DJ'd each aspect of our wedding (cocktail hour, dinner, dancing) and MC'd each aspect exactly how we requested and discussed in our various meetings leading up to the big day. If this wasn't already enough, when food was spilled on my wife's dress during dinner, he was one of the first to come running over with a towel and water to help. If you are planning a wedding, or any event for that matter, you should absolutely consider signing up with Maryland's DJ and asking for Ross!

Wow! We loved our DJ!

WOW!! We had such an amazing time at our wedding! Jordan was the absolute best, we couldn’t stop talking about how we chose the perfect DJ. He made us feel comfortable and really put our wants and needs above everything which made our day even more special. Everyone... I mean everyone was out on the dance floor from teenagers to 90 year olds. The music choices were fun and he could really read the room and change it up to keep the flow going and keep everyone dancing. The care and planning that went into the entertainment he has planned for our special night was above and beyond, and it showed. Marylands DJs was easy to work with and our DJ Harvey was great. We had never hired a DJ before but their process put us at ease going into our wedding. Through the multiple covid rescheduling, Jordan ensured the entire process was stress free! The planning portal is great to layout all the details, but leave it to Jordan to bring the fun!! We had a blast through the entire process.

Fantastic DJ!

We had a great time at our wedding thanks to our amazing Dj, Mike from Maryland Djs! His music selection was awesome and he was super responsive!

Maryland DJs and in particular Brian Doane did an amazing job at our wedding. He had our family and friends, both young and old, on the dance floor the entire night. They were responsive and had a great online system to keep track of songs we liked and didn't like and they accepted on the fly requests well. They really helped to create a great ambiance at our wedding and I would highly recommend them to other couples.

For bride and grooms to be - do yourself a favor and look no further, seriously! Jordan was amazing during this entire planning process, he always replied in a timely manner and made every little request I had seem like no biggie and made it happen! Using the portal (which was extremely cool!!) gives you the opportunity to give him a general idea of the type of music you want and keeps things extremely organized...Now more importantly, he had the crowd on the dance floor the ENTIRE time. He is able to read the crowd and deliver. It’s only been two days since the wedding and I’ve gotten so many messages about the DJ and how incredible the music was and how awesome his lighting work was. If you want the best of the best, you’ve found it!

Not for one second do I regret using DJ Jordan Solender for my wedding! Two years later and I am still getting compliments on how much fun my wedding was and how great the DJ was!!!!

We loved everything about Brian our DJ and our sax player as well! They kept the dance floor moving all night! We had some last minute timeline changes with our dances and toasts due to a delay with the buses and Brian was super flexible, no one even knew things weren’t as originally “planned”! Will not go wrong choosing MDs DJs

DJ Brian was amazing. About a month before the third planned wedding was to take place, we found ourselves without music for the day. A friend of a friend has worked with Jordan, recommended him, and within 20 minutes, we had a scheduled phone call to work with our unique wedding day. Not only were Jordan and Brian professional and amiable, but they were incredibly flexible with the insanity (& forgetfulness!) of this exhausted bride. Finally, DJ Brian found an indescribable way to play a beautiful blend of Egyptian & country music... I never would have imagined that’s possible! DJ Brian & Jordan catapulted the best of memories to be formed & am so grateful the pandemic wedding planning brought us to Marylands DJs.

Steve was the DJ at our wedding and was awesome! Through the whole process he was very communicative and responsive. On our actual wedding day, he did a great job at reading the crowd and playing music accordingly. We could not have asked for a better DJ. We had an amazing time and Steve was an incredible DJ. We had a good feeling about him from our very first meeting, but he really pulled it all together for a great event. We know he was supposed to have some help, which unfortunately fell through, but we honestly had no idea until after the party. Steve went above and beyond and made it a very special event. He made us the center of attention, he had a perfect playlist, and mixed in our requests as well. We honestly can’t think of anything that didn’t go perfectly with Steve. On a scale of 1-10, Steve was a true 11. Throughout the entire process he was communicative, attentive, and understood our vision.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Brian and Maryland's DJ! They have several DJ's in their company which I appreciated, the first meeting was seeing what kind of music we wanted played and what the vibes of the day we were looking for. DJ Mike was amazing. Family who I never have seen dance at weddings couldn’t get off the dance floor. Sometimes wedding DJs can be awkward or have lulls but Mike read the room perfectly and everyone has a blast. Definitely worth it

We cannot say enough great things about DJ Steve! From the moment we connected, he was incredibly friendly, professional, and easy to work with. He truly listened to our vision for the wedding and brought it to life with his amazing DJ skills. Steve perfectly set the tone for every part of the evening. During the cocktail hour, he played timeless classics by Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, creating an elegant and classic vibe. As dinner began, he transitioned seamlessly into some lively swing music, which added so much energy to the room. When it was time to party, Steve wen through the decades, playing all the hits from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and 2000s. We sang and danced our hearts out to all of our favorites. He read the crowd perfectly, and the dance floor was packed all night long! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how much fun they had and how sore they were from all the dancing, and we owe so much of that to Steve’s ability to keep the energy going all night. People only really took breaks to grab another drink. Thank you Steve for being such a pleasure to work with and for making our special day so incredible!!

The best ever DJ

I am so thankful to Steve and his team at Maryland's DJ for absolutely bringing the party!! There are so many details that need the brides attention but he knew exactly what to do and totally understood what we were going for. His calls where detailed and helpful and professional which is more than I can say for some other vendors. I loved my wedding and spent the whole evening on a PACKED dance floor because of this man. He also did audio for our ceremony and was very helpful making sure everyone could hear even at an outside event. I cannot say enough about how great he is.

Perfect music. DJ was incredible. Our families love to dance. Once up, they never sat down.

Everything was fantastic. 10/10! Multiple guests talked about how fun the DJ was (Laz), the lighting was PERFECT for both the ceremony and the dance party, and the Photo Booth was a big hit.

Incredible DJ’ing from Start to Finish

Marylands DJ, and DJ Brian brought the energy for our wedding we were so happy to have them and have plenty of great mixes with all of the music that we picked. From the beginning Marylands DJ were professional and extremely helpful in our process. We were shown a great and informative presentation about their offerings, and Jordan walked us through the entire contract from beginning to end to make sure we had no issues! They had plenty of follow up emails and even incorporated some Polish music, as my wife is Polish-American, and made sure the crowd was always partying! Couldn’t be happier with Marylands DJ, and DJ Brian!! Thank you again!!

Steve was absolutely amazing at our wedding a few months ago. He is literally a walking encyclopedia of music information, and he was able to mesh all of our interests (funk, 80-90s R&B, contemporary pop, etc.) into one seamless night that had the entire dance floor packed all night long. We can't recommend Steve enough for being so supportive and accommodating. He also did our ceremony music, and we were amazed how seamlessly that came together. All in all - Steve's your guy! Our DJ was Neil and we couldn't have had a greater time with him. Somehow he was able to balance my love for 80s music with my wife's modern pop. Needles to say, the music for the night was amazing. Neil was also a consummate professional when it came to coordinating all of the music and announcements according to our wedding timeline. In addition, the photobooth and uplighting raised the experience to a whole other level. Overall, we had an awesome time working with Maryland's DJ and Neil specifically and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Maryland's DJ was the best DJ we could have ever pictured for our wedding. Not only were they extremely easy to work with, they were helpful to us during such a chaotic time in the world. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted for our wedding. They provided all microphones for the ceremony and reception, music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and made announcements throughout the event to make sure everything was flowing exactly as we wanted. Jordan retrieved drinks for me and my husband the whole time and just did everything to make sure we didn't have to worry about a thing. They included the most fun, open, safe (since we have to think about these sorts of things during this time) photo booth that everyone had such a blast participating in! They even helped us navigate a medical crisis we had at the end of the event. I could not imagine any of their DJs not providing this exceptional service, as their company is led by a leader with such talent and a high level of standard. We had Brian from Marylands dj and he was excellent! Our dance floor was crowded the whole time and he played something for all age groups :) all of our songs we wanted were played and everyone had the best feedback. The mixing was incredible and each song seamlessly transitioned to the next which kept the energy high at all times. Highly recommend!

Hire them!

A good wedding DJ does more than play music. They help manage the flow of the day, they provide atmosphere and ambience, and most importantly, they run the fun on the dance floor. If you want a DJ service that matches your needs, that MCs as well as they DJ, and are a great time at your party, gathering, wedding, etc., you want Maryland’s DJ and you want DJ Steve. Steve isn’t the only DJ they have, but he ended up as DJ for our wedding after we met and consulted with Maryland’s DJ. They make a wonderful effort to match a couple with the styles of one of their excellent DJs. Their online portal provides lots of avenues to control the songs couples would like (or not!) at their wedding, and communication is always open. On the wedding day, DJ Steve was smooth as can be. He worked with us to facilitate a few last-minute lineup changes to the wedding party, to manage to the minute various announcements and scheduling of dances, was a wonderful and energetic MC — and when the dancefloor opened, he was an absolute joy to have at the DJ table. His mixes are on point and he works with you to make sure you’re getting the songs and sounds you and your guests want. You can’t go wrong with these folks.

DJ Steve from Maryland’s DJ provided music and lights for our event and was incredible! The lighting was perfect for the venue and really brought our vision to life. Maryland's DJ absolutely nailed our wedding, no other way to describe it.  DJ Mebaa stepped in to DJ our ceremony and reception as a last minute change in plans; my wife and I felt supported and in good hands the whole time as a result of Maryland's DJ's planning and attention to detail. Mebaa, with only a few days notice, played all ceremony songs perfectly, timing choruses/special parts of songs perfectly with the arrival of the wedding party/the bride as they walked down the aisle.  The reception was an all out blast - Mebaa read the room perfectly, following one banger with another and keeping jaws dropped the whole night with great songs.  He also surprised my wife and I with a special last song dance to a song that we adored. I would highly recommend Maryland's DJ, and Mebaa specifically.  They made our special day the best it possibly could be, and know how to please their clients, no matter what circumstances arise.  Aside from my wife and I, we had almost everyone we interacted with on the dance floor comment on how good the DJ music and service was - we are so glad we went with DJ over live band!

Best Dance Floor Ever!

We decided to go with Maryland DJ after having a fantastic introductory call with the owner Jordan Solender. We booked DJ Mike Q for our wedding date and had access to easy planning tools to where we could add different "must play" and "do not play" songs. Sadly Mike Q ended up getting covid the Friday before the wedding, but Maryland DJ also always has an unscheduled DJ on staff in case something comes up and DJ Neil was able to fill in beautifully! He made the dance floor come alive, and we received so much praise from guests about the DJ's song choices. It was hands down the best dance floor I've seen at a wedding, and Maryland DJ was a major part in making that happen. Would definitely recommend Maryland DJ and DJ Neil!

Maryland DJ was perfect

Maryland DJ was perfect for our wedding. Steve Hartka was able to video chat with us int he heart of covid to describe how Maryland DJ works and how his personal style fits within. We immediately connected with Steve when we saw the Gorillas Album int he background and we were impressed by how prepared he was from the start. It was so easy to work with Steve. He came to the walk through of the venue with our vendors and coordinator and was able to understand his three stations, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception set up areas. The form that we used to curate special touches, songs, dances, announcements, etc. made it easy to optimize our perfect day. I literally didn't leave the floor after a certain hour of visiting with friends and family. 10/10 would recommend -Groom

Jordan and his team are truly amazing! We found Maryland's DJ through a wedding convention in DC, but also was referred to them through a co-worker of mine that used Maryland's DJ as their wedding DJ. Coming from a couple that is super into music, we knew it was a great recommendation! Jordan was one of the best wedding decisions that we made. When we first met him, we met in his offices where he took us through a whole experience of what our wedding music would sound like, both cocktail and reception. It was truly one of the coolest things that we got to experience during the wedding planning process and made us so excited to get a glimpse of what the big day would be like. Jordan also took us through his portal where you can submit requests and your timeline, etc. On the actual day, Jordan was totally stellar. I saw him right before we left for the ceremony and he put me at ease just by talking - he has a super calming demeanor. He truly is the best wedding DJ we could have ever asked for. So many of our guests came up to us during the wedding and afterwards saying how much they enjoyed the music and how perfect it was! Even my 76-year-old Dad can't stop commenting on how amazing our DJ was and that right there is a true phenomenon! Jordan can seriously read a room and that is a true gift. He also was our emcee and was amazing at directing people to what they should be paying attention to at any given moment. Not to mention he also referred us to who we used as our travel agency for our honeymoon - he was a true blessing! Thank you, Jordan, for making our day seriously amazing!! We hired Maryland's DJ for our wedding and I cannot recommend them enough! For those of you who like more control over the type of music played, Maryland's DJ's portal has an excellent layout in which you could list your favorite songs to suit any mood, or different phases of the night, and the DJ we got, Mike Q, did an absolutely excellent job mixing it all together! Unreal dance party with Steve!

Working with Steve was an absolute dream. When we started out planning, we knew that the music would be the most important factor of our wedding for us, and Steve exceeded our expectations with the most incredible DJ set for our wedding reception. He listened to what we wanted, worked with our requests and elevated the music to the point where people are still talking about the playlist and asking us to send it to them. I would recommend Steve to ANYONE but especially for those couples who are particular about their music! We'll be recommending him to friends for all future weddings not just because he's fantastic, but because we selfishly want to participate in another Steve dance party!
