Hands down the best DJ service in the entire DMV. DJ John and MC Laz worked with us to perfectly execute our vision for our dream wedding. From the prelude music all the way until the very last song of the night, every one of our guests kept telling us how much they loved who we got as our DJ/MC. I cannot thank the team at Maryland's DJ enough for making our wedding the best day ever.

June 2025 wedding - great experience with Maryland’s DJ!

Steve was the DJ at our wedding and was awesome! Through the whole process he was very communicative and responsive. On our actual wedding day, he did a great job at reading the crowd and playing music accordingly. We could not have asked for a better DJ. Thank you to Maryland’s DJ for helping to make our day so special.

We had DJ mike Q and he was awesome! The dance floor was packed all night long. People are still talking about how much fun they had! We also got the photo booth and everyone really enjoyed it and everything was digitally sent to your phone!

Ryan met every expectation we had, from the intros, to song choices, and everything in between. Thanks for a perfect night!

Amazing Party!

We met with Jordan on the recommendation of our photographer (Photography by Brea), and from our initial consultation we knew that he was the perfect choice as our wedding DJ. After being to so many weddings with standard, line-dance heavy playlists it was instantly intriguing to listen to his demo of songs mixed right on the spot. Jordan seamlessly balanced our diverse musical tastes (including having Journey on the bride’s “must play” and groom’s “do not play” lists), acted as MC for wedding activities as needed, and coordinated with our caterer and photographer to ensure our evening ran smoothly and on schedule. He checked in with us throughout the night, making sure we were enjoying ourselves and even grabbing the groom a drink when he noticed it was empty. As a couple who are not generally huge dancers, it says a lot that we never left the dance floor! Jordan helped make our wedding a true celebratory party and we would highly recommend him!

DJ Steve Hartka DJ'ed our wedding a few weeks back, and he did an amazing job! He kept the party going all night, and had everyone up and dancing from start to finish. He fit the exact mood we were going for in the reception and also made sure that all went off without a hitch during the ceremony. Meetings with him leading up to the big day were always upbeat and positive and we felt from the start that we could count on him to do an amazing job, which he did! The very organized portal system was great, and we felt that we could have a good mix of having control of the must-play songs while also trusting him to fill in the rest of the soundtrack. Forever grateful for all you did to make our day even more special, Steve!!

Great DJ - Awesome Set Up

Jordan was the DJ for our wedding and did a phenomenal job. He's an awesome guy, and not only a great DJ but a great voice on the mic as well! His company's website made the entire process very easy. The LED lighting is 100% worth add on and his speaker/stand set up looked very nice in the room. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

DJ Steve is the Best!

We had the BEST time working with DJ Steve! He was so much fun to ideate with and delivered on all of our requests. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed his set and found him to be very personable! We had a few last minute requests that Steve was able to adjust and make work beautifully. I cannot recommend him enough and would love to work with him again in the future if the opportunity ever presented itself!

Maryland's DJ was super easy to work with. They setup a call with us to determine our style and then another meeting with a DJ who fit is best. We worked with DJ Brian. Brian was great! He got everyone up and dancing and really hit the vibe. They also offer an extremely user friendly website to help the couple plan their songs from ceremony into the reception. Highly recommend!!! Thanks again Brian!

If you’re looking for a DJ who will have your guests dancing the whole night - look no further. They will have your guests on the dance floor the ENTIRE night and know how to read the room. They are super professional and we had great communication the entire planning process. The portal was a huge bonus because it really gave the DJ an idea of the songs you want played and to truly customize it to your liking. My wife and I got married March 2020 and STILL have guests talking about how fun the wedding was and the music was 100% the reason. Also, all negative reviews are from the same family disgruntled because they had to abide by a contract. (All dated same time)

Easy to Work with and Delivered the Party

We loved working with Maryland's DJ and DJ Theo! The team made everything easy - we had a walk through to talk about our goals for our reception and were matched with a DJ that they thought could make it happen. And DJ Theo certainly could - he was amazing! We also loved the planning tool they gave us to use for timeline creation, choosing songs, and more. The party was fantastic and we loved how smoothly everything went from micing up the ceremony to creating an awesome atmosphere for our guests during dinner, speeches and of course, the dancing! We were so thrilled the whole night and our only complaint is that it went way too fast. Thank you again to Theo for all the help you gave us as we were planning and for being our MC for the evening - it was a pleasure to work with him.

Steve was great! He kept us on track for the wedding. He knowledge with the polish traditions truly helped us with our planning. Our photographers kept pulling us away but he kept the party going!

Wedding Event

Steve was great to work with! He was very easy to talk to when planning music for our wedding. Steve was responsive and readily available to chat when we had questions. During the wedding my husband and I received so many compliments on Steve and the music he played. I would absolutely recommend him in the future!

Out of all our vendors, Maryland's DJ was by far the most professional and supportive during the planning process and our big day. Ryan was personable and felt more like a guest than a DJ! Professionalism was incredible! No one else we would have wanted to DJ our wedding!

We worked with Mike Q and had the most amazing experience. We told him our highest priority was to never have a lull in the dance floor and he absolutely delivered. Our guests were dancing all night long and everyone told us how amazing the DJ was. We had a crowd of all different ages and he did a great job of mixing in songs for everyone. We also talked about him playing songs fast and not staying on one song for too long, and he did this better than I could have imagined and he got through every song I wanted to hear and was able to take requests as well from our guests. Even the people in the bar below us were asking who our DJ was and said he was the best they have ever heard at the venue. He was also so professional and we loved working with him. Thank you so much Mike!!! Next time we need a DJ we will 1000% book him again, and you should too!

Maryland’s DJ

Our experience with Maryland’s DJ was incredible from the beginning! We met with a rep virtually who led us through an extensive presentation of all they had to offer. He asked us about our vibe and matched us with one of their DJs accordingly. Then we met with our DJ Jamaal. They have an awesome portal where you add in all of your music requests, even when to fade out, etc. We had a meeting with Jamaal a month out and he was very flexible with all of our last minute changes. We 100% recommend Maryland’s DJ for anyone looking for a fun, professional, company to work with.

Jordan was an AMAZING dj at our wedding, which we knew he would be because he was a fantastic dj at my brother's wedding too! He kept everything running smoothly and played the greatest music of all time! Without my knowledge, several of my friends even offered to pay him to stay longer! Unfortunately the venue was closing - sometimes I regret we didn't start the wedding earlier so we could get more dancing in! Yesterday was our 1 year anniversary and many of our memories are about how much fun the reception was. Great job! Have already recommended him to friends and will continue to forever! Best Day Ever!

What Jordan did for our wedding day is speechless! From day one he gave us the feeling that he was dedicated to making our day the best day we could ever imagine. It was crazy how after a simple 5 minute phone call he was able put together a demo session that had us geeked for our special day! Jordan is more than just a DJ, he helped us find the best photographer a couple could ask for, he added touches to our wedding we never would have thought of on our own, he brought a large group of people from all over the world to one dance floor for what felt like the best dance party ever. We could go on and on about how awesome of a DJ Jordan is. Bottom line, make the right decision to hire the best DJ, DJ Jordan!

I have nothing but good things to say about Maryland’s DJ and Jordan (great guy!). One of my favorite things about Maryland DJ, is their super fun photo booth which we’ve had at multiple special family celebrations. One of the photo booth settings “boomerang” makes for some legendary memories. (And somehow always makes everyone look good). In fact, one time we took a photo booth boomerang collage with my Grammy’s walker, doing fun dances, and it was quite hilarious. All in all, 1000% would recommend!

Maryland’s DJ was INCREDIBLE. Before our event, there was really good communication from everyone on the team, including the automated reminder emails, personal emails, and our original intake. We really liked that we had so many options of DJs to choose from, too. We also really liked the portal and how we could sort through/choose songs in there. Neil, who actually worked our event, was the absolute best. He met with us several times to make sure things were just right. He matched our vibe and kept people on the dance floor throughout the night. The transitions between songs were awesome. He was a guiding presence to the guests and kept the spotlight on us. People said music was one of the best parts of our wedding. Can’t recommend Maryland’s DJ enough!

Hands down the best DJ service in the DMV area! They will make all your wishes come true and your guests will be dancing the night away! Jordan is my favorite DJ ever - he plays all the jams. He will work with you to make sure all your favs get played and he'll avoid what you don't like. All the DJs here are collaborative and fun. You can't go wrong. Worth every penny!

Absolute 10/10. Taylor was so helpful from the beginning to help coordinate our big day and introduce us to Neil, then Neil was an absolute rockstar throughout the entire day. He listened to all of our requests (separate speakers inside, ways of cutting certain songs, bringing extra mics, etc.), offered fun ideas like walk-up songs leading into toasts, and made sure the people were having a blast all night long. June wedding

Steve DJ’d our wedding in June and people are still talking about it over six months later! Everyone says it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. The music was absolutely phenomenal and our wedding was a huge party - just what we wanted! He made it super easy with the online planning tool and was so flexible with music changes. I even asked him to tweak something the day of the wedding and he just rolled with it. If you’re looking for a great DJ for a memorable, fun wedding, this is it!

This company was fantastic from day one, they set up a couple different virtual meetings with my wife and I and we just got a great feeling from them from the start. They are great people to work with. After hearing our music taste, they set us up with DJ Steve Hartka for our wedding and he was AMAZING. We got to make a list of "must play" songs, as well as "do NOT play" songs, and Steve took our music vibes and applied it to the rest of his playlist. We added the photo booth which was a huge hit with us and with the guests. These DJs know how to read the room and play the type of music that will get guests on the dance floor and stay on the dance floor. Thank you for a great event!

Maryland's DJ and DJ Mike Q were the ABSOLUTE BEST. I cannot recommend them enough. My husband and I are tough music critics and insisted on a very specific music vibe for our wedding and DJ Mike absolutely nailed it. They brought energy, visuals, and of course big sounds. We were lit, our guests were lit, it was exactly what we wanted.

Best Vendor Ever!!

The photobooth and lighting were incredible! It really made the day special and our guests can’t stop talking about it and sharing photos. Jordan and his team were amazing to work with. Hire them now for your wedding before they book up!! We recommend them to anyone. I’d get married again just to have a photobooth!!

Habtu was a dream! He took all of our requests and do not play songs seriously and always catered to us! He even took pictures during the ceremony, angles that I haven’t seen from anyone else! His mixing was great and he kept the party going the whole time! He made wonderful announcements and each song’s timing was perfect! When I had enough of the first dance and father dance, all I had to do was give him the look. SEAMLESS!

Organized, responsive, and professional

Ryan at Maryland's DJ helped make our wedding reception everything we were hoping for. He got to know our style and event vibe from a couple of pre-wedding meetings and we loved the portal where we could add wedding details (first song, etc.) and playlists to make sure we were all on the same page. All in all, organized, responsive, and professional services. Highly recommend!

My husband and I cannot recommend Maryland's DJ enough. Based on our preferences, we were paired with DJ Steve. We have been impressed with him since day 1. Having never planned a wedding before, my husband and I did not know the process. However, Steve walked us through everything. He was organized, clear, easily accessible, and had the crowd dancing all night. The company has a lot of prep documents which helped ups plan for the flow of the night and really consider what we wanted for our evening -- this helped so much. Would rehire again and highly recommend to others!

DJ Alex!!!

DJ Alex did a phenomenal job not only during the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and party… but perhaps most importantly, before the wedding weekend even started. The conversations we had with him made us very comfortable - we recognized that he knew exactly what we were going for. And he executed. He did such a great job - we had the best time of our lives and his attention to detail, attitude, energy was a big part of why it was such a success.

Maryland's DJ was awesome to work with from our first meeting. The DJ we got- Steve- was incredible. Hiring vendors over Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic was stressful but we could tell Steve would be perfect from our first video call. He even came to our venue walk-through to get a feel of the space and introduce himself. He took our 'must play' songs and made them all work perfectly. No one left the dance floor the whole time!

OH MY GOD!! Words can not express how much my husband and I enjoyed having Jordan at our wedding in February. We are so grateful to have him in our lives & we recommend him to everyone who is looking for the best for their event. I also plan to work with him for future events. Jordan knew exactly how to keep the party going. My friends and family are still raving about how it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to. He also listened to us and got to know us which is so important. We felt connected with him as if he was a close friend rather than just a wedding vendor. The lights he brought also tied the event together. He is so talented and I can’t recommend him enough!

For bride and grooms to be (or anyone throwing an event) - do yourself a favor and look no further, seriously! Jordan was amazing during this entire planning process, he always replied in a timely manner and made every little request I had seem like no biggie and made it happen! Using the online portal (which was extremely cool!!) gives you the opportunity to give him a general idea of the type of music you want and keeps things extremely organized...Now more importantly, he literally had the crowd on the dance floor the ENTIRE time. It’s only been two days since the wedding and I’ve gotten SO many messages about the DJ and how incredible the music was and how awesome his lighting work was. Kept the dance floor bumping

Maryland's DJ was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. DJ Ryan Carr kept the dance floor packed and played music based on what everyone was enjoying most. Their online portal for choosing music was super easy, had a must play, would like to play, and do not play list. We also used their uplighting for the venue which looked awesome. Everyone had a blast and said how great the music was.

Ryan stayed in contact with me throughout the whole process and really helped me make decisions. He was responsive, professional and KILLED IT come wedding day. The music/DJ are so important and Ryan made my day so special! I would recommend him to anyone!

We had an amazing time and Steve was an incredible DJ. We had a good feeling about him from our very first meeting, but he really pulled it all together for a great event. We know he was supposed to have some help, which unfortunately fell through, but we honestly had no idea until after the party. Steve went above and beyond and made it a very special event. He made us the center of attention, he had a perfect playlist, and mixed in our requests as well. We honestly can’t think of anything that didn’t go perfectly with Steve. On a scale of 1-10, Steve was a true 11. Throughout the entire process he was communicative, attentive, and understood our vision.

During the cocktail hour, he played timeless classics by Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, creating an elegant and classic vibe. As dinner began, he transitioned seamlessly into some lively swing music, which added so much energy to the room. When it was time to party, Steve went through the decades, playing all the hits from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and 2000s. We sang and danced our hearts out to all of our favorites. He read the crowd perfectly, and the dance floor was packed all night long! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how much fun they had and how sore they were from all the dancing, and we owe so much of that to Steve’s ability to keep the energy going all night. People only really took breaks to grab another drink. Thank you Steve for being such a pleasure to work with and for making our special day so incredible!

We hired Maryland's DJ for our wedding reception (the official gathering after a 2020 courthouse ceremony) and I was blown away by how helpful they were throughout the entire process. I'm not really a music person and had no idea what songs to suggest but our guests (and embarrassingly myself) were singing and dancing all night. I was kind of sad going in to the re-do wedding reception as it didn't really feel like the real thing, and I was afraid that our friends and family would feel the same way too, but Maryland's DJ helped to give our reception the authentic first-time feeling and I am so happy with the way everything came together. 10/10!!

Wow, Where do I even begin. Look no further, Maryland's DJ is the best in the business and hiring them will be one of the best decisions you could ever make for your wedding day. We scheduled our wedding date around Jordan's availability, because our wedding day wouldn't be the same without the #1 DJ. Jordan will not only play the tunes for your day, but he will become your friend, step in on day of duties, make sure everything runs smoothly and organized, sweep any wedding day stress away, keep your drinks full, and of course the dance floor packed. As our wedding night was coming to a close and the bus was ready to take the first trip back to the hotel, but our guests literally refused because the dance floor was too much fun!!! I wish I had counted the number of guests who came up to us stating it was the "best wedding they had ever attended". Investing in Maryland's DJ is investing in a relaxed, and fun filled wedding day that you (and all of your guests) will never want to end!

Wedding DJ - must hire!

Maryland’s DJ was phenomenal! Taylor was super helpful and responsive during the early stages of planning. DJ Scott was FANTASTIC. Another DJ was supposed to cover our event, but something came up and Jordan (owner) called to apologize and ensure that DJ Scott was the best candidate to entertain our guests. We had 125 guests and the dance floor was packed ALL night. I could not recommend DJ Scott more!

When my spouse and I were looking into wedding DJs, we were not sure what to expect. We were investing money into what we hoped would be a good time. The moment we met the folks at Maryland's DJ, we knew we had found the right place. They were friendly, attentive, and professional, matching us with the perfect DJ based on our preferences. As my spouse and I love early 2000s pop punk, we got matched with Steve Hartka. Friends, Steve is the MAN. His enthusiasm for his job is infectious, and he took such care to get to know us as a couple. He was able to balance our preferences with curating the perfect party that felt like ours. He did not miss a beat, no lull, not even one. He started with party favorites to get everyone dancing, moving to dance hits to keep everyone dancing, ending with well-chosen rock. The songs blended well and felt like the work of a true professional. Steve did such an amazing job that we had people complimenting us all night. By the end, nearly our entire wedding was praising Steve by name. Our evening was absolutely amazing, a large part due to Steve. Worth every penny!

Maryland's DJ was such a nice addition to our day! Brian killed it in every aspect. The music was great, the dance floor was full the whole night and he handled game day changes like a champ. We highly recommend!!!

Amazing DJ

We chose Steve from MD DJ because we have attended two weddings previously that he had done and the dance floor stayed full the entire night. Our wedding was no different! Steve did an amazing job mixing it up to appeal to everyone in the crowd. The planning process was a breeze and all of the music was executed perfectly for both the ceremony and reception. Would highly recommend, as my experience with weddings has shown that the DJ will really make or break the party!

I would definitely give Steve from Maryland's DJ a huge 10/10. He was responsive, attentively answered our questions and was so so helpful on our day to ensure everything went smoothly. We will definitely be recommending him moving forward, he had everyone on the dance floor the entire night!

Just want to start by saying thank you for how amazing the entire Maryland’s DJ has been. From our initial conversation to the wedding night, we’ve felt comfortable knowing you guys had us covered. With the hundred other wedding things we were managing, not worrying about the DJ situation was a massive plus. So a kudos to you for your professionalism and the help you showed us when we were still shopping around and trying to get a sense of things. Most of the credit should go to Steve. What a legend. I’m not sure he even knew where Moldova was on a map before our wedding day but they’d give him a citizenship after the party he threw for us all. 10/10 service, will recommend Steve and you guys for any weddings our friends have. We weren’t the most organized bunch, but he sat down with us and went through all the forms and song choices. We felt that we really aligned on our music preferences and he understood the wedding vibe we were going for. We also had a few traditions we needed to do and he helped us through it all! The party was so great we even made arrangements with him to stay later. Again thank you both from the bottom of our hearts for helping make our wedding night the happiest evening of our lives!

Amazing DJ

Jordan and his team, including our DJ Steve spent lots of time up front getting to know us and our preferences for music at our wedding. Our dance floor was PACKED all night. Guests commented that they liked the music and everyone had a great time! Highly recommended!!

Mike Q is AMAZING! Our wedding was SO fun! His MC skills, not to mention his music choices and playlist, are absolutely perfect! He got to know us and played the perfect music, all of our family wants to steal the playlist now! He kept the dancing going all night, he checked in with us so thoughtfully and coordinated throughout our reception to keep us on track, and he’s the nicest person! He made sure the night was about us, he’s such a professional. Mike Q collaborated with all our vendors and they love him too! He also made the planning process so easy! We had an amazing experience with Maryland's DJ! John and Laz did a great job of keeping the momentum going and the party didn't lose energy once which was important to us. We have gotten SO many compliments from guests about the DJing, everyone loved them and had a fantastic time. We also were so pleased with the photo booth (which we initially considered not getting), our guests really loved it and the photos were very high-quality -- as the bride I actually wish I took more! Really great experience working with this team!

Our wedding day could not have come even close to what it was without Steve! Throughout the entire process he was incredibly responsive and accommodating especially when we had to postpone our original date! During our consultation he had our exact style of music to a T, and when it came to the day of he absolutely nailed it! Steve did a PHENOMENAL job!!! Right from the start, he did such a good job figuring out what vibe we were looking for and even provided his number for any last minute updates we would need. His playlist during dinner (which we had little input on besides acoustic modern songs) was amazing and people were coming up to us asking for his playlist 😂. Then, he captured exactly what we wanted in terms of songs on the dance floor and kept the energy extremely high which was SO important to me. I literally danced to every single song. We would give him a 10/10!!

We had an absolutely fantastic time working with Maryland DJ! We got married this past weekend and had about 140 guests in attendance. We worked with DJ Neil, and he was an absolute professional throughout the day. Our ceremony went on without a hitch, even with our family friend playing the keyboard at our outside ceremony space with support from Neil. He executed any announcements that we had flawlessly and made sure all of our guests knew exactly what was going on throughout the evening. When it came to the dance floor, Neil knew exactly how to keep the party going. I am very particular about the music played on the dance floor, and Neil took my playlist and really made it into his own. I felt that all the songs that I wanted to hear were played, and Neil masterfully read the room and played songs that he knew would elevate it to the next level. The dance floor was completely full the entire time, it was truly a wonderful experience. I would enthusiastically recommend Maryland DJ for your event, they really came through for us! The way Marylands DJs works is that after an introductory meeting, we were paired with a DJ that they think will be a good fit for you. Brian did an amazing job for our wedding! He did both the ceremony and reception for us. The online tool they use to coordinate your music choices really makes it easy to communicate what you want without having to have a bunch of meetings. We had one final details meeting a few days before our wedding day and Brian hit the nail on the head with what we were looking for. Our guests had a fantastic time on the dance floor and people you would never expect to see out dancing were absolutely letting loose!

For my fiancé and I, dancing the night away was one of our top priorities for our wedding, and Maryland’s DJ delivered. We started out the process with them with Jordan assigned as our DJ, and when a scheduling conflict came up, they were quick to resolve the issue and let us know that Brian was available for our date. Brian was awesome – zero cheesiness, amazing song choices, kept the dance floor packed all night. The entire experience of working with the Maryland’s DJ team was great, they are such an awesome group and it always felt like Jordan was just as hyped up for our wedding as we were! The best. Go book Maryland’s DJ for a great party!!

We hired Steve to provide music and entertainment for our reception and ensuing dance party. I would say that working with Steve, and his performance at the reception, was the absolute highlight of our entire wedding. From our first conversation, I could tell that Steve was fully on board with our plan to have a progressive/electro house dance party. We provided some songs as inspiration, and he gave us a live demo at his office, demonstrating his mixing style as well as other songs he’d found to match our taste. He accommodated my mom’s insistence on using a medley of Prince songs for the mother/son dance, and he transitioned from that into his DJ set absolutely flawlessly. I will never forget standing in the middle of the dance floor with my now-wife, surrounded by our friends, as the final guitar solo of “Let’s Go Crazy” played out, ending with Steve announcing “Your dance floor is now open!”, immediately followed by the drop of “Feel So Close” (Calvin Harris). People went nuts and it was awesome. Additionally, Steve is just an all around fun guy to talk to and work with. He gets my highest recommendation.

Maryland DJs, and specifically DJ Steve were great to work with! Steve was very helpful in our planning process and then made sure our Wedding day ran smoothly, stayed on schedule, and was a blast! He was very easy to work with and set up meetings with and took the time to get to know us as a couple and that translated to everyone staying out on the dance floor all night. We had the pleasure of having Mike "Q" DJ our wedding and we could not be more pleased. The whole process was seamless (even with our *slight* procrastination) and their online system was very easy to use. Mike "Q" on the wedding day was amazing. He played everything we asked and turned it into the perfect dance party for us and our guests. We had multiple people ask us where we found him as they were also very impressed. Jordan was the DJ at our wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. He was so fun to work with and everyone loved the music he played! Jordan is organized, fun, and on top of things. We can't recommend Jordan enough!

Working with Steve was an absolute dream. When we started out planning, we knew that the music would be the most important factor of our wedding for us, and Steve exceeded our expectations with the most incredible DJ set for our wedding reception. He listened to what we wanted, worked with our requests and elevated the music to the point where people are still talking about the playlist and asking us to send it to them. I would recommend Steve to ANYONE but especially for those couples who are particular about their music! We'll be recommending him to friends for all future weddings not just because he's fantastic, but because we selfishly want to participate in another Steve dance party!

Jordan went above and beyond for our wedding on 5/4/19. He truly cared about what we (the bride & groom) wanted. We recommend him a million times over. He honestly felt the crowd out as soon as they started to enter. He knew exactly what to play at our wedding to keep everyone on the dance floor all night long! The wedding was AMAZING! Brian did a phenomenal job picking songs off the must play list that kept people dancing. We got great feedback on the song choices and he clearly listened to us when we were discussing volume/ the Horah. Tyler and I were worried about music too loud; Brian did a wonderful job with that. On the dance floor, we could hear everything fine and by the tables we could talk at a good level! Moreover, for the Horah we asked for the moms/ dads to be lifted together and he did that, too. No complaints! During the ceremony and introductions he played all the correct songs, too! :D In conclusion, we were thrilled with the services and glad I asked my friend for her DJ company from her wedding in September of 2023. We will be recommending y'all!

Amazing personal service!

Jordan did an amazing job of personalizing the entire wedding experience for us! He took the time to go through songs that were a must play, play if we had time or the vibe was right, and songs that were absolutely do not play! He even helped us pick some of those harder to think of songs like Mother/Groom Father/Daughter, etc. Highly recommend!

We had the BEST time working with DJ Steve! He was so much fun to ideate with and delivered on all of our requests. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed his set and found him to be very personable! We had a few last minute requests that Steve was able to adjust and make work beautifully. I cannot recommend him enough and would love to work with him again in the future if the opportunity ever presented itself!

Overall, I'd recommend Maryland's DJ for weddings and special events. As an outfit, they're as slick and professional as it gets. Their online tool is fantastic, especially if you're like we are and feel the need to carefully tweak the music selections over and over again! It's surprising what you'll find in their database, and you can very easily add your own music for whatever's missing. The uplighting was extremely tasteful (especially since our venue had a lot of decorative lighting to start with), and Mike Q kept people on their feet throughout the night. If you're the type of couple that largely just wants to leave things in the hands of the professionals after establishing a few guiding principles, Maryland's DJ would be a godsend. My husband and I are both pretty persnickety and neurotic about certain things, and thus there are a few areas we felt could've been improved. However, in this day and age it deeply hurts a business to leave anything less than a 5 star review unless they were truly lacking. Our criticisms are pretty minor, and meant to be constructive. A few announcements were a bit jumbled, and the audio quality on one or two songs was weirdly grainy. We left a lot of notes in the app prior to the wedding, so I can understand we may have provided a little too much input on certain things that didn't go exactly perfect. While we mentioned we wanted to get the slow dances out of the way early in the night to maximize folks' dance time, this was taken a bit to the extreme and my husband and I were still chewing our cake for most of our first dance. Nevertheless, these are all in the long run small issues that didn't detract from our happiness that day. Our guests largely didn't notice, either. We've heard so many DJ horror stories from other couples (and witnessed a few firsthand ourselves at others' events) that I would still say our experience with Maryland's DJ was generally fantastic.

Ryan Carr with Maryland's DJ was awesome, he was great to work with through the process of planning our wedding, explained everything thoroughly and was super helpful. He and his partner for our event set the mood for our whole day and we can't recommend them highly enough, everyone loved the energy and the music. Their planning features were so awesome, they allowed us to organize songs by must play, do not play, etc. which really helped us put our personality into our wedding.

I first experienced Jordan’s DJ style at my cousin’s wedding 6 years ago, where I had the most fun at any wedding I had been to. I knew right then that when the time came, I was sure I would book him for my own wedding. Fast forward 4 years later, as soon as my now husband proposed, we set up a meeting with Jordan to get him booked (before we even had a venue). He is incredibly professional, and I had full confidence that he had everything under control on our big day. The music was amazing, and even though he had to leave early to go see his child be born (!!) he made sure we were set up to continue using the equipment in his absence to finish out the night strong. Would recommend him to anyone who wants a DJ who will be sure to keep everyone on the dance floor

We worked with Mike Q and had the most amazing experience. We told him our highest priority was to never have a lull in the dance floor and he absolutely delivered. Our guests were dancing all night long and everyone told us how amazing the DJ was. We had a crowd of all different ages and he did a great job of mixing in songs for everyone. We also talked about him playing songs fast and not staying on one song for too long, and he did this better than I could have imagined and he got through every song I wanted to hear and was able to take requests as well from our guests. Even the people in the bar below us were asking who our DJ was and said he was the best they have ever heard at the venue. He was also so professional and we loved working with him. Thank you so much Mike!!! Next time we need a DJ we will 1000% book him again, and you should too!

Jordan, You are Amazing!!

Jordan and his team are truly amazing! We found Maryland's DJ through a wedding convention in DC, but also was referred to them through a co-worker of mine that used Maryland's DJ as their wedding DJ. Coming from a couple that is super into music, we knew it was a great recommendation! Jordan was one of the best wedding decisions that we made. When we first met him, we met in his offices where he took us through a whole experience of what our wedding music would sound like, both cocktail and reception. It was truly one of the coolest things that we got to experience during the wedding planning process and made us so excited to get a glimpse of what the big day would be like. Jordan also took us through his portal where you can submit requests and your timeline, etc. On the actual day, Jordan was totally stellar. I saw him right before we left for the ceremony and he put me at ease just by talking - he has a super calming demeanor. He truly is the best wedding DJ we could have ever asked for. So many of our guests came up to us during the wedding and afterwards saying how much they enjoyed the music and how perfect it was! Even my 76-year-old Dad can't stop commenting on how amazing our DJ was and that right there is a true phenomenon! Jordan can seriously read a room and that is a true gift. He also was our emcee and was amazing at directing people to what they should be paying attention to at any given moment. Not to mention he also referred us to who we used as our travel agency for our honeymoon - he was a true blessing! Thank you, Jordan, for making our day seriously amazing!! Steve did a PHENOMENAL job!!! Right from the start, he did such a good job figuring out what vibe we were looking for and even provided his number for any last minute updates we would need. His playlist during dinner (which we had little input on besides acoustic modern songs) was amazing and people were coming up to us asking for his playlist 😂. Then, he captured exactly what we wanted in terms of songs on the dance floor and kept the energy extremely high which was SO important to me. I literally danced to every single song. We would give him a 10/10!!

We got married September 21, 2019 and we will always remember the 21st night of September because of our amazing DJ, Brian! Brian was amazing to work with on our wedding day and the many months leading up to the wedding. He asked for a timeline months in advance so we could pick the perfect song for each moment of the ceremony and reception. He even gave us suggestions when we were unsure of what song to play when we were being introduced as husband and wife, and even offered to remix a few songs for us. Our family and friends are still talking about how much fun our wedding was and it is largely due to the music and lively atmosphere Brian created.
