Fantastic and Fun

Maryland's DJ was awesome to work with from our first meeting. The DJ we got- Steve- was incredible. Hiring vendors over Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic was stressful but we could tell Steve would be perfect from our first video call. He even came to our venue walk-through to get a feel of the space and introduce himself. He took our 'must play' songs and made them all work perfectly. No one left the dance floor the whole time!

Maryland's DJ was so great to work with--very responsive and thorough in answering all of our initial questions. We especially loved that we could include a photobooth and uplighting with our entertainment package! And we'll add to the chorus of rave reviews for DJ Mike Q! He kept the dance floor PACKED and truly everyone had a great time--from our millenial friends all the way up to our 90 year old grandparents! Mike incorporated all of our requests, both songs and different special dances. He even communicated with us about a couple of plan changes we wanted to make just that day, and made it all run seamlessly. It was such a perfect, celebratory, and very "us" dance party! Thank you, Mike and Maryland's DJ!!

Best Wedding DJ!

We had the best experience with Jordan! Our wedding was one massive dance party the WHOLE night - a packed dance floor, awesome music, and so much fun. It was everything I would have wanted! Jordan was the best and kept the energy high - wouldn’t change a thing!

Maryland's DJ was excellent throughout the entire wedding process. They were flexible and helped us with our every need. Our wedding day ran smoothly from the ceremony until the party ended. Our DJ Jesse was extremely prepared for all the chaos that was thrown at him as we added speeches and certain songs the day of the wedding. He kept the party rocking the whole time and was excellent. Ultimately, we had an awesome time and couldn't have done so without the help of Jordan and Jesse at Maryland's DJ.

So blown away. Our guests were dancing THE ENTIRE NIGHT! Announcements were on point, they weren’t cheesy, music was awesome, and the photo booth was so unique. We got lighting as well at the last minute and it completely changed the look and feel of the room. 5 out of 5 would hire again. Thank you!

We had Jamaal as our DJ for our wedding. From the get go, Jamaal was incredibly flexible with our itinerary. He had the air of a professional who would be able to pull off any requests we threw at him, and this level of confidence was very reassuring. The day of the wedding, Jamaal did a fantastic job keeping us on schedule with his MCing, and ticked all the boxes. His music had everyone dancing the entire night!

Maryland DJ provided the audio services for our wedding. In the lead-up to the event, we met with Taylor, and she was very professional and organized. She assigned Steve Hartka as our DJ, and the fit was perfect. After meeting with Steve before the wedding, we were confident he understood the vibe we were going for. On the wedding day, Steve showed up on time with all the necessary equipment. His organization was great, and he was set up and ready well before the event started. During the ceremony, the microphones worked perfectly with no hiccups, and the aisle music was exactly as planned. For the rehearsal, Steve was prepared and in control, coordinating with us, our wedding coordinator, and other vendors to make sure everything was timed perfectly. The dance floor was filled consistently, just as we had hoped, and Steve handled all of the music requests from guests while sticking to the play/do-not-play lists we had prepared beforehand. Overall, it was a tremendous experience, and we highly recommend Maryland DJ. Five stars through and through. I would also like to give Steve a particular shoutout for two things. First, during the cocktail hour, we decided we wanted to surprise the groomsmen and change their walk-in song to a favorite of the group. Steve obliged and was able to make the change at a moment’s notice, just minutes before the walk-ins started. Second, Steve helped us prank the best man right before he gave his speech. It worked out flawlessly.

The best party ever!

I can’t enough about how amazing Jordan and his team are. I knew from the second I met him I wanted him to be our DJ. He truly caters to our needs and had everyone out on the dance floor! I would hire him again and again.

--Tl;dr stop reading this review and go book them right now! --We used Maryland’s DJ for our wedding reception and they were the most complimented vendor of the night. --Of the DJs we interviewed Marylands DJ was by far the most professional and put together, and from the beginning we trusted their whole team. This was important because the original DJ we booked with had a conflict on our wedding day, and we weren’t concerned in the slightest when we were assigned a new DJ. --The DJ for our wedding was DJ Mike Q and he was absolutely spectacular. He emceed very well following our instructions in their planning portal. He also could improvise well, like when I asked him to give a shout out to one of our grandmothers because it was her birthday. He also picked up on a song referenced in the best man’s speech and played it later in the night. He also takes song requests! --DJ Mike Q was so good at keeping folks on the dance floor. I kid you not, it was packed all night and he mixed in a lot of songs we put on a list that gave him our dancing music vibes. I remember I was viben so hard that I forgot to drink anything between 8 and 9 pm. Maybe we’re biased, but compared to the previous few weddings we attended DJ Mike Q absolutely played the best music for dancing from beginning to end. --He also added some fun mixes into the song list that made us belly laugh a few times. --We got the photobooth and they did a great job with it. Got all the photos within a day or two of the wedding from that. That was easy to use and we were glad we got it because it gave folks a break from dancing. --They also provided lighting and were super experienced and helpful when we had no idea how to pick what would look good in our venue --The online planning tool and regular email reminders were great tools to help us plan our music independently on our own time. --We didn’t book them for the ceremony, but I’m sure they would have done well. --We got uplighting from them and it looked great in the barn. -----They knew exactly where to put it and we didn’t even have to think about it. We trusted them and they delivered.

Amazing DJ!

We had such a great experience with Maryland DJ's. Brian was amazing to work with and was very communicative. His playlist was one of the best I've ever heard and we had several guests come up and tell us the same thing! Highly recommend booking them ASAP!

Marylands DJ was incredible! They really helped make our night great! They were an absolute delight to work with and created a playlist that fit us as a couple. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ for any event. Thanks a million to the team at Maryland DJ!!!

DJ Steve was the DJ for our wedding and boy oh boy, did he knock it out of the park!! Working with Steve was a breeze, he's super friendly, very knowledgable about a wide range of genres, and really listens to you to help craft the best experience tailored to your wedding. He made sure to mix in newer hits with some older hits and our guests absolutely loved it. We had everyone on the dance floor. His expertise really helped to make our wedding an incredible night to remember. We can't recommend Steve and the Maryland's DJ team enough! We highly recommend Jordan

We were so happy we went with Jordan to be our DJ for our wedding reception this past August in Annapolis. I never realized how big of role the DJ plays in a wedding reception. They are the master of ceremonies, the ones in charge of music, the host, the person who helps plan and keeps track of the order of events. Jordan was a consummate professional and helped make our wedding reception a night we will never forget. *He played great music and made the songs personalized to our reception. Definitely check out some of his videos on Instagram. Great mix of dance, pop, and other songs. *He is so professional, very experienced, and friendly. I always felt like he had a good handle on everything and knew how to work with us. *He was a calming and reassuring presence for us during the reception. Again, his experience is easy to see. He kept close track of the order of events and reminded us where we needed to be and when. We really appreciated this since it can be tough keeping track of everything during such a busy time. *The website to choose songs is very easy to use. *Affordable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Jordan was such an amazing DJ for our wedding day! He made sure to meet with us at least once prior to the wedding, and gave us an in-person demonstration of his talent. He asked that both my husband and I tell him a few songs or genre of music that we liked, and then he was able to easily mix this music together into songs that flowed beautifully. On our wedding day he eased my nerves by assisting with the flow of the ceremony and the reception. His step-by-step online portal allows you to choose every detail in order to ensure smooth transitions and lots of dancing on your special day. Everyone was up and dancing until the minute they kicked us out of the venue! We can't thank Jordan enough!!!

Maryland's DJ was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. DJ Ryan Carr kept the dance floor packed and played music based on what everyone was enjoying most. Their online portal for choosing music was super easy, had a must play, would like to play, and do not play list. We also used their uplighting for the venue which looked awesome. Everyone had a blast and said how great the music was.

Awesome DJ experience from beginning to end

When considering all the different vendors for our wedding, we knew to have a great DJ was important to us. We inquired with quite a few but when we met Jordan, the decision was easy. The entire process was smooth and made us less stressed for our big day. We loved the demo provided before we signed the contract as well as the online portal that made it easy to provide our preferences. Jordan provided great input to help us decide which songs we wanted and when. He helped us figure out the entire flow of the wedding. We also got our lighting from Jordan and it looked great and we were able to see the color and options ahead of time. And of course, probably most important, the day of the wedding everything was amazing. All of the guests were out on the dance floor and had a fantastic time. Can't say enough great things about our experience!

Had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Brian and Maryland's DJ! They have several DJ's in their company which I appreciated, the first meeting was seeing what kind of music we wanted played and what the vibes of the day we were looking for. We spoke with Andrew and he helped us figure out who would be the best match for us and he nailed it with us having DJ Brian! Everyone at the wedding said they had so much fun and everyone was dancing the night away. I think he did a great job of taking requests and playing what we wanted. They have a whole form and website to help layout the day and potential music suggestions which was incredibly helpful!! I do not have one single negative comment about them. I am so thankful that he was able to keep everyone dancing and giving the range of music everyone wanted and could relate to. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a DJ!!

We had Brian from Marylands dj as our dj and he was excellent! Our dance floor was crowded the whole time and he played something for all age groups :) all of our songs we wanted were played and everyone had the best feedback. The mixing was incredible and each song seamlessly transitioned to the next which kept the energy high at all times. Highly recommend!

Birthday Party Event

Steve did a great job at my wife's birthday party. He helped us select a lot of great music and kept the energy up all night!

Harvey was amazing throughout our whole wedding process! He made us feel comfortable and helped keep us calm throughout the months leading up to the wedding and didn't even seem concerned when we hadn't finalized our songs the week before our wedding. The music throughout the entire day was amazing and we cannot recommend Harvey/Maryland's DJ enough! We also got the photobooth, which ran smoothly all night and had no issues. Guests loved the pictures!

Working with Neil at Maryland's DJ was a great experience! We had several planning calls where he was responsive and respectful in helping us talk through the vibe we wanted from the wedding, he checked in with us in the months leading up to the wedding, and absolutely kept the party going at the wedding itself. Highly recommend!

Organized, Professional and FUN!

Working with Maryland's DJ was such a pleasure. We hired them to do both our ceremony and reception. They provided great service in the lead up to our event with planning services, playlist building and even a demo! Steve was our DJ for our event and we couldn't be happier. He had such a great attitude and was helpful planning our event. We received many complements about the music selection at our event.

Steve did a great job emceeing our night and keeping the tunes going. His song transitions are on point, and he was so easy to work with to put our preferred music choices together. All around nice guy. Highly recommend.

Could not have asked for better!

Our experience with Maryland's DJ was nothing short of amazing. Here are the fine points: 1.) They were able to pivot at the last moment when my wife had one last surprise up her sleeve. 2.) Their online forms are very thorough and helped a lot with making needed decisions. 3.) It felt like almost everyone at the wedding told us this was the best dj they have ever danced to at a wedding. Working with Maryland's DJ was great! Steve was quick to respond when I initially reached out and DJ MikeQ was assigned to us for our wedding. We met virtually multiple times before the event to discuss our music style and preferences. They have a detailed online portal where we were able to add our song preferences for all of the classic wedding moments and then requests for must plays, do not plays, etc. During the event Mike was ON IT! He did great at the ceremony and cocktail hour and then nailed our bridal party intros (we had a different song for each pair). Also, he kept the dance floor going all night long and was great at mixing songs together! There were a few songs on our must-plays that we didn't hear which was a bit of a bummer, but overall it was wonderful working with Mike and I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ that wants to see the dance floor packed! Many people after the wedding talked about how great he was! Thanks, MikeQ for making our wedding dance floor the place to be!!

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Steve from Maryland's DJ for our wedding. Steve was great to work with from the get-go: he was communicative, responsive, and super easy to get along with. Our music taste is very particular and Steve really "got" us. He even offered to spin vinyl at our party, which we were super excited about. On the day of the event, Steve was not only professional but also made our small (covid-sized) party a blast. His music choice and timing was perfect and he kept the party going until the end of the night. Many of our friends commented that this was the best wedding music they've ever heard. The vinyl was dope as well. Thanks DJ Steve!

Brian was amazing!

We had Brian as our dj for our 9/5 wedding. He did a fantastic job! We are so happy we went with him and Maryland's DJ! He listened to our requests, played everything we wanted, had a great range of styles for everyone, and kept people dancing and in a good mood the whole night! Kept the vibe we wanted throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing! He was great on the mic for introductions and announcements throughout the night. He was always responsive to our emails and phone calls. He was helpful with all of our questions and anything else we needed help on! We definitely would recommend Brian + Maryland's dj and hire them again for anything else we needed a dj for!! :)

My husband and I cannot recommend Maryland's DJ enough. Based on our preferences, we were paired with DJ Steve. We have been impressed with him since day 1. Having never planned a wedding before, my husband and I did not know the process. However, Steve walked us through everything. He was organized, clear, easily accessible, and had the crowd dancing all night. The company has a lot of prep documents which helped ups plan for the flow of the night and really consider what we wanted for our evening -- this helped so much. Would rehire again and highly recommend to others!

You get what you pay for and for us, Maryland DJ was no exception. The music was hot, all the guests were dancing, and there were no issues. They're easy to work with and if you want to work with professionals then these are your guys/gals. Pat

Jordan and Steve of Maryland’s DJ were a blast to work with! When inquiring about different DJs for our wedding it was a pleasant surprise to learn that Maryland’s DJ offered a free live demo. That’s something I never heard of before. It was really helpful to meet the owner, Jordan and the DJ who would be playing our wedding, Steve. We clicked immediately. We were able to tell him our music styles and vision for the wedding and had the opportunity to hear some sample mixes based on the information provided. They were very responsive to any questions we had during our decision making process and were willing to work with our budget. Even when I made last minute song requests and changes the night before the wedding, Steve was very accommodating and made the changes with no problem. We highly recommend them for any event. Thank you Maryland’s DJ for bringing the party to our wedding!

We worked with Steve for our wedding and it was the best! We were getting compliments from all our guests the morning after, some saying it was the best DJ they’ve seen at a wedding. There were always people on the dance floor and if it started to get thin, he knew exactly what to do to get it going again. 10/10

Maryland’s DJ was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Taylor was very helpful when booking and planning. Neil and his day of crew were also great. We spoke to Neil a few times leading up to our wedding day and he really got a good picture of what we wanted to hear all through the day and he delivered. We had the most amazing wedding/ dance party that we have ever been to! So many of our guests told us they haven’t danced so long and enjoyed themselves as much as they did at our wedding! The Photo Booth also went so well and we loved getting all the mini videos and pictures from that a few days later. We can’t recommend Maryland’s DJ enough!!!!

Our wedding day could not have come even close to what it was without Steve! Throughout the entire process he was incredibly responsive and accommodating especially when we had to postpone our original date! During our consultation he had our exact style of music to a T, and when it came to the day of he absolutely nailed it! People of all ages who attended our wedding continue to rave about how much fun they had, and we honestly could not have done it without him! 10000% would recommend hiring him!

Maryland DJ’s were amazing! When I called I spoke to Jordan and gave him a run down of what we were looking for, he said “I got the perfect DJ for you guys!”. Jordan set us up with DJ Neil Feldman. We spoke with Neil multiple times leaving up to the wedding over video call. We gave him our style of music we like and some of our favorite songs. Dj Neil told us from the start that he does not just play a premade playlist that is created by the couple, but that he will take our music and the vibe of the wedding and create music on the spot to keep people dancing and the vibes up. Leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day, Dj Neil was very professional and attentive.  Dj Neil lived up to his hype and some. We dance the entire time. Even a week after our wedding we still have people telling us how much fun they had and how good the Dj was.

We'd absolutely recommend the team at Maryland's DJ. Steve, our DJ, took the time to meet with us to understand the vibe we were going for at our wedding and knew exactly how to keep people dancing all night. The team was easy to work with, responsive, and highly professional.

Absolutely amazing

Jordan literally made our wedding a party! We had multiple meetings with him via Zoom because we needed help with song selections and he sat with us and helped us pick out the perfect ones! He also made our day run so smoothly… from pre ceremony all the way to the very last song. He had everyone on the dance floor and was able to find the groove to cater to all ages. I have told all of my friends about him and his company. I would absolutely hire him again in a heartbeat. He is very responsive, so fun, amazing energy and truly loves what he does. He totally crushed it!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Maryland's DJ. We worked closely with DJ Steve throughout the entire process and we both have nothing but nice things to say about him and the company as a whole. Steve was responsive with emails and their portal is a great tool for filling out forms and music choices, contacting your DJ and keeping track of your payments. The best part about the experience was the wedding day. Steve and his assistant showed up on time and had everything set up within an hour. He took down all of our important song requests. These guys are true professionals. Everything was so on point with ceremony and cocktail hour music. And the reception was one for the books. Steve and his assistant had our dance floor packed throughout the entire reception. We had multiple people tell us after the fact that it was one of the best receptions they had ever been too. And a large part of that is owed to Steve and Maryland's DJ for making our special night a truly memorable one.

Jordan and his exceptional team truly go above and beyond from start to finish! During our pre-wedding zoom meetings, Jordan walked us through the entire process answering any and all questions that we had. The online portal was very easy to use and helpful, and most importantly Jordan was so accommodating to all of our little and last minute changes leading up to the wedding. I have never been to a wedding before where people were dancing the entire night start to finish, and am in awe that it happened at ours! Jordan is such an incredible MC, making sure guests of all ages were engaged and moving the whole night. His contagious and fun energy set the tone for the night, the people did not stop having fun! His flow and announcing was perfect, seamlessly transitioning all parts of the wedding. PRO-TIP: Get the photo booth! It was an absolute hit and there was a line to take pictures the entire night. Guests loved how the pictures were instantly sent to their phones and best of all you will get sent a copy of every picture taken to help relieve your special night! We cannot recommend Jordan and Marylands DJ enough--if you are looking for the wedding of your dreams look no further! These guys are the real deal!

Jordan was the most perfect DJ we could have dreamed of. He guided us and helped us so much along the way with planning. He helped to relieve a ton of stress. On the actual day he was incredibly enthusiastic and we knew we were in good hands. He completely knows the science behind DJing and people were on the dance floor all night long. For bride and grooms to be - do yourself a favor and look no further, seriously! Jordan was amazing during this entire planning process, he always replied in a timely manner and made every little request I had seem like no biggie and made it happen! Using the portal (which was extremely cool!!) gives you the opportunity to give him a general idea of the type of music you want and keeps things extremely organized...Now more importantly, he had the crowd on the dance floor the ENTIRE time. He is able to read the crowd and deliver. It’s only been two days since the wedding and I’ve gotten so many messages about the DJ and how incredible the music was and ho awesome his lighting work was. If you want the best of the best, you’ve found it.

We were blessed having Steve as our DJ! It felt like having a friend there who truly cared and put every detail into our special day that we asked for. He added in special requests and even added a last minute first dance song in just minutes before. We could not recommend Steve and Maryland's DJ enough!

Maryland’s DJ should be your top choice - no question about it! We cannot rave enough about how wonderful of an experience we had with Steve as our DJ and working with Jordan in preparation of the big day. They were professional, great on the mic and they got EVERYONE on the dance floor. We even had a seasoned vendor comment that they’ve never seen so many people stay all the way to the end of the reception! To begin - their portal system easily allows you to track what songs you want to hear at the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception; they meet with you in advance of your wedding to confirm plans and provide advice to make the day flow; they easily worked with any request we had; and they were so flexible when the wedding was running way behind schedule (not their fault) so Steve checked in with us on if we wanted to make any changes, then he kept the party moving! Everyone - even guests we never thought would leave their seats - was bringing their all on the dance floor and that’s thanks to Maryland’s DJ! Hire Maryland’s DJ and you’re guaranteed to have an amazing reception!

Best team ever

Our wedding day could not have been any more amazing than what your team created for us! The night felt so special and customized to fit us and our needs perfectly. Everyone on the team was sooo extremely kind and genuine and you could tell they love what they do and are truly excited to be a part of your big day! They put in extra effort, and thought and care into every single step and communicated everything with us very professionally! We could not have asked for better, more caring people to help make our day go so smoothly and will always remember your kindness, humor, and professionalism! We will be singing your praises to anyone (and even those who don't) ask for recommendations!

If you want a packed dance floor, book Jordan!! Matt and I are what I guess you can call a "COVID couple" who ended up changing our wedding date three times and our venue. Jordan met us back in December of 2019 and stuck with us through it all! He is fun, responsive, reliable and so easy to work with. Our goal when selecting vendors was to make sure we felt 100% comfortable with them so that we could be ourselves - as soon as we met Jordan, we knew that would be the case. Definitely book through Maryland's DJ - you won't be disappointed!

Jordan is phenomenal. I couldn't have picked a better DJ. From the in-person demonstration to get a feel for our music taste to the amazing communication and website he has setup that asks you all the right questions about your special day. No one can get the party going like he can and if he can get my 80 and 90 year old grandparents to get up from their seats he must be doing something right! If you're looking for the best DJ in town that's going to take care of you, run the show and leave all of your guests asking for his contact info then look no further than Maryland's DJ!

They were so great to work with! Scott kept everyone on the dance floor all night as we requested and read the vibes of our group perfectly. The whole process was easy to follow and they were excellent at communicating with us throughout the entire process.

We decided to go with Maryland DJ after having a fantastic introductory call with the owner Jordan Solender. We booked DJ Mike Q for our wedding date and had access to easy planning tools to where we could add different "must play" and "do not play" songs. Sadly Mike Q ended up getting covid the Friday before the wedding, but Maryland DJ also always has an unscheduled DJ on staff in case something comes up and DJ Neil was able to fill in beautifully! He made the dance floor come alive, and we received so much praise from guests about the DJ's song choices. It was hands down the best dance floor I've seen at a wedding, and Maryland DJ was a major part in making that happen. Would definitely recommend Maryland DJ and DJ Neil!

Jordan is the best DJ out there! If you have a rough and rowdy crowd like we did or a crowd that needs to be persuaded a little to get up and dance, he will make it happen. He really knows how to read a crowd. I didn't want to get off the dance floor and I saw people who I know aren't big dancers on the dance floor. His transitions from song to song are really cool and he really helped the flow of our reception. We had so many guests tell us our DJ was amazing and to me that is one of the most important parts of a fun, successful wedding. From beginning to end Jordan was professional and easy to communicate with and you will not be disappointed!

Brian Doane was our DJ for our wedding and did a. Outstanding job. He was very responsive and helpful through the process. We had to change venues due to COVID and went above and beyond with helping us plan our big day. Brian has tons of experience with weddings and events and did a great job of reading the crowd and getting people on the dance floor.

Mike Q was perfect for our wedding. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ! The music kept everyone on the dance floor all night, there wasn't a single song where people took a break from dancing. It was awesome, thank you!

Jordan and his exceptional team truly go above and beyond from start to finish! During our pre-wedding zoom meetings, Jordan walked us through the entire process answering any and all questions that we had. The online portal was very easy to use and helpful, and most importantly Jordan was so accommodating to all of our little and last minute changes leading up to the wedding. I have never been to a wedding before where people were dancing the entire night start to finish, and am in awe that it happened at ours! Jordan is such an incredible MC, making sure guests of all ages were engaged and moving the whole night. His contagious and fun energy set the tone for the night, the people did not stop having fun! His flow and announcing was perfect, seamlessly transitioning all parts of the wedding. PRO-TIP: Get the photo booth! It was an absolute hit and there was a line to take pictures the entire night. Guests loved how the pictures were instantly sent to their phones and best of all you will get sent a copy of every picture taken to help relieve your special night! We cannot recommend Jordan and Marylands DJ enough--if you are looking for the wedding of your dreams look no further! These guys are the real deal!

Awesome DJ!

Jordan is AWESOME! We had 185 people at our wedding and he handled the crowd with ease. He kept the intros/ and beginning dances on scheduled and got the dance floor rolling right on time. Once we opened the dance floor he had the whole party dancing all night from teenagers to grandparents (even my 82 year old grandma was on the floor dancing to everything from Michael Buble to David Guetta). He played all of the music we requested and added mashup versions to others that were great. Jordan was amazing. Got the exact vibe we were going for in Our wedding and reception. Whole family was on the dance floor most of the night. Also the process of picking songs and uploading guest requests was really easy.

Our wedding reception with Ryan as our DJ was absolutely perfect. He was incredibly detail-oriented, organized, and communicative with us in the weeks leading up to the event, he was thorough in his timeline and realistic about possible time restrictions for our unique requests, and he was committed to correctly presenting introductions, toasts, etc. Besides his competent organization and professionalism, where Ryan truly impressed us was the night's playlist itself. We had submitted a large library of songs we wanted to hear and discussed our particular tastes with him, and his ability to take those wishes and translate them into a dance party was unparalleled. He hit all of our most important notes (I firmly believe that every wedding needs "Tubthumping") and impressed a multi-generational guest list with selections from the 70s and 80s, seamlessly transitioning to modern hits. He consistently responded to the crowd's energy and had us dancing our asses off from the moment the dance party started to the very end of the night. Our guests are still raving about some of his inventive mixes (Ask him about his mashup of "Feel Good Inc." and "Toxic", or his Backstreet Boys medley intercut with "Turn Down For What). Ryan surpassed all of our expectations and was integral to what was easily the best night of our lives.

Maryland's DJ was a fabulous vendor to work with. They always communicated with us in a professional manner and were very responsive. Steve really got to know John and I as a couple and our music likes and dislikes. We had to reschedule our wedding date due to the pandemic and they were extremely flexible. Jordan is beyond amazing and is truly one of the best DJs I think I've ever come across. I met him years ago when he was just starting out and remembered him being good. I kept his info because I thought maybe one day I would have a need for a DJ? Fast forward 5 years later, I got engaged and he was the first person who came to mind when we deciced to go with a DJ instead of a band. My now husband and I went to meet with him and to get a preview of what he could do and both of us were blown away. We signed our contract that same day. The entire year and a half we were engaged, I was constantly telling people how excited I was about our DJ and how I knew he would make our wedding one of the best parties our guests had ever been to. Our big day finally arrived and Jordan totally delivered. From ceremony into late-night, he knew exactly what we wanted and nailed it. At the reception we pretty much gave him the freedom to play what he thought would keep the party going and he kept it classy but oh so fun! Book him, you won't be disappointed.

We had a great experience with Maryland's DJs! Our DJ was great and did all that we asked and more! So glad we went with MD DJ for our wedding.

DJ was phenomenal, but Maryland’s DJ is not an honest broker

Our DJ (Thiery) was outstanding. Every communication we had leading up to the wedding was professional but also personal. He was flexible about which portions of the wedding we defined completely and which portions he would run autonomously based on our tastes (collected through our phone conversations and the songs we submitted as must-play or by request). He kept people engaged and having fun all night! If you can book Thiery, absolutely do so!! By contrast, our dealings with Jordan (owner of Maryland’s DJ) were terrible. He did not show up to a scheduled call on 12/20. The DJ we were speaking to at that point (Harvey) reached out to Jordan during that call, and he said he wasn’t able to join but would reach out to us within the week. He never did. But the biggest issue was way our contract was handled. In January, Jordan sent us a contract with a total cost of $3200. We signed the contract and were required to pay 50% upfront, so we immediately sent a check for $1600. The remainder was due 30 days before the wedding, so we again paid $1600 on that date. Several days later, Jordan emailed and said we hadn’t paid our full bill and that we owed $1200. We replied with our contract, showing an agreed price of $3200 and evidence of two payments totaling $3200. Jordan wrote back and claimed that he’d made a mistake in the contract and that it should have been $1200 higher in order to get the photo booth option we’d discussed and which was promised in our contract. We asked him multiple times to uphold his end of the signed contract, and he refused. If he’d contacted us immediately in January and said, “This payment is not 50% of the total,” we would have had time to consider whether we would accept a contract at $4400. Because Jordan waited until just a few weeks before our wedding, we had no choice but to keep our contract for the DJ but get a photo booth from another vendor. He offered an all-digital photo booth (basically an iPad on wheels) which did not come close to the experience we wanted to provide our guests, nor was it at all close to the service we’d agreed in the contract. I’m glad we didn’t use the inferior option, because we and our guests both had a blast with the full photo booth we procured elsewhere and especially love the printed photo strips. (Side note: the other vendor charged us $600 for what Jordan was trying to charge us $1200 for - so Jordan’s pricing was never reasonable in any way!) Overall, I am shocked that a vendor would not honor a signed contract that they had, themselves, drafted. It left me feeling very distrustful of Jordan and his company. I would absolutely hire Thiery again as a DJ, but only if I could book him directly or through another company. I would never do business again with Jordan or Maryland’s DJ.

After shopping around for our wedding, we chose Maryland’s DJ. Jordan made the entire process so easy from interview to event. Payments are simple and secure. The staff are very flexible and communication is effortless. DJ BRIAN DOANE, created the exact atmosphere we anticipated. The lights, the music, the MC abilities…. Top notch. Will hire them again. Highly recommend.

After going to multiple weddings with boring, unorganized DJs who played awkward and cringeworthy music, my husband and I knew we wanted better for our wedding. That’s how we found Jordan at Maryland DJ. From our amazing initial meeting, where Jordan mixed our favorite songs into a mini-set list, I knew Jordan was the perfect choice for the fun, energetic wedding we wanted. Our family and friends have not stopped praising Jordan and our wedding’s music: “that was the best wedding music I’ve ever heard” and “every song he played was perfect”. Jordan kept the dance floor packed all night, including my 3 year old cousin and my 70 year old great aunt. He played one amazing song after another, totally embracing our music tastes. Jordan also makes the wedding process as smooth as possible. His portal helps plan your ceremony and reception while giving you plenty of suggestions for “must-play” songs, parent dances, first dance songs, etc… At the wedding, he makes sure the ceremony and reception run smoothly through his promptness, his announcements, and his guest interactions. He isn’t corny or cheesy, but he will make sure everyone gets up dancing! We loved how thoughtful Jordan was through the entire event. He arrived early to the venue and even offered to help my dad and brother set up our chuppah. He checked in with us about 30 minutes before the end of the night to see if there were any last minute songs we still wanted to hear. And, when I put two musical songs on our cocktail hour/dinner playlist, he included some “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hanson” which made the night even more special and personalized. We can never thank Jordan enough for helping make our wedding perfect. If you want the best music and dancing at your wedding, Jordan is the perfect DJ for your event.

Marylands DJ were great to work with, especially our DJ, DJ Mike Q! We loved the process and portal that Marylands DJ provided. It was easy to select the songs we wanted. DJ Mike Q was responsive throughout the months leading up to the wedding and we had a final walkthrough a few weeks prior where we talked through more of the details. On the day of, DJ Mike Q kept everything running smoothly and was flexible, changing things where needed and working with our coordinator to switch up the timeline based on how the event was going. We're very happy we selected Maryland's DJ for our wedding!

Steve Hartka from Maryland's DJ dj'ed our wedding at The Hotel at UMD and it was a huge success! The process started with a video call where he could demonstrate his dj style which was very cool. From there we were able to make a 'must play,' 'would like played,' and 'don't play' list to completely customize our playlist. We let Steve take it from there and he had our guests dancing all night long. We had UMD's mascot Testudo show up and Steve was happy to announce on cue and play the fight song. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dj for any event!

SO much fun

We had a 10/10 experience with Neil and Maryland DJs! Neil did a fantastic job not only honoring our song requests but also reading the room and perfectly capturing the vibe of our guests. Everyone commented on how much fun the music was, and if we ever host another event, we would absolutely choose Maryland DJs again and request Neil! The logistics and communication were also a 10/10. Everything was seamless, which made the wedding planning process so much easier. We’re so grateful to have worked with a company that truly delivers on every level!

From start to finish, they were so organized and professional, and made us feel confident we hired the perfect people for entertaining our guests on our wedding day. Habtu was a dream! He took all of our requests and do not play songs seriously and always catered to us! He even took pictures during the ceremony, angles that I haven’t seen from anyone else! Maryland DJ provided the audio services for our wedding. In the lead-up to the event, we met with Taylor, and she was very professional and organized. She assigned Steve Hartka as our DJ, and the fit was perfect. After meeting with Steve before the wedding, we were confident he understood the vibe we were going for. On the wedding day, Steve showed up on time with all the necessary equipment. His organization was great, and he was set up and ready well before the event started. During the ceremony, the microphones worked perfectly with no hiccups, and the aisle music was exactly as planned. For the rehearsal, Steve was prepared and in control, coordinating with us, our wedding coordinator, and other vendors to make sure everything was timed perfectly. The dance floor was filled consistently, just as we had hoped, and Steve handled all of the music requests from guests while sticking to the play/do-not-play lists we had prepared beforehand. Overall, it was a tremendous experience, and we highly recommend Maryland DJ. Five stars through and through. I would also like to give Steve a particular shoutout for two things. First, during the cocktail hour, we decided we wanted to surprise the groomsmen and change their walk-in song to a favorite of the group. Steve obliged and was able to make the change at a moment’s notice, just minutes before the walk-ins started. Second, Steve helped us prank the best man right before he gave his speech. It worked out flawlessly.

Great Wedding DJ

Jesse is an amazing DJ! He was the DJ for our wedding this past weekend and kept the dance floor packed the entire night! We have received so many positive compliments from our guests, even those who are DJs themselves. He took the time to check in with us several times throughout the night to make sure things were going well and adjusted the set list to fit in seamlessly with how the event was progressing. We even had a few unique requests that he had no issue with incorporating. We can't thank him enough for his professionalism, positive demeanor, and impressive skills as a DJ. Maryland's DJ was awesome to work with from our first meeting. The DJ we got- Steve- was incredible. Hiring vendors over Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic was stressful but we could tell Steve would be perfect from our first video call. He even came to our venue walk-through to get a feel of the space and introduce himself. He took our 'must play' songs and made them all work perfectly. No one left the dance floor the whole time!

Jordan is a close friend of my husband Andy's. Andy is a DJ himself and giving up this role that he takes pride in was hard for him. I don't think we could have felt more comfortable leaving our special day in anyone else's hands. Our dance floor was packed the ENTIRE night. Our wedding went until 1am and one of my biggest fears was that people would leave early, did some leave earlier in the night yes, however, 1am came and our dance floor was filled!!!!

Working with Maryland’s DJ was an absolutely amazing experience throughout the course of our wedding planning journey. From the minute that we first contacted them, Jordan and Mike were extremely professional, attentive, and best of all- FUN! Their online portal was a great tool, allowing us to quickly and easily plan everything from song lists to lighting schemes for our wedding ceremony and reception. During the course of the wedding evening, DJ Mike did a fantastic job of making announcements to keep the party flowing and playing songs that kept feet on the dance floor. We received many compliments regarding the mix of lighting and music that DJ Mike provided throughout the night, and they were absolutely correct. Our venue (Baltimore Museum of Art) included large rooms with high ceilings, but Mike did a fantastic job of lighting them and controlling the acoustics. We can’t say enough good things about Maryland’s DJ, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great DJ in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area!

After our first phone call, we knew immediately that we wanted to have him DJ our wedding. He is professional, has years of experience, and is so relaxed and chill, we loved his vibe! My husband and I both loved working with Jordan throughout the past 2+ years. When we decided to postpone in 2020, he was quick to make the rescheduling easy to do for our wedding in May 2021, then again in December 2021 (thanks Covid!). Working with Jordan was effortless! He was very communicative, quick with responses, and offered great advice on our wedding playlist.
